Eagle-eyed news readers will remember that Apple and Epic have been going at each other's throats for four years now. Epic took umbrage with Apple's practice of scraping 30 percent off in-app payments, which resulted in Fortnite being taken off the iOS App Store. Epic eventually won a partial legal victory related to the matter, and later unrelated legal developments in the European Union have guaranteed that Fortnite will return to iPhones there in short order.

That said, we're still waiting to find out when or if Fortnite will return to iPhones in the United States.
