😠 wrong 😠
There’s a lot more depth to it….
Are you creating keyword driven SEO articles to rank for search terms and organic traffic growth. Are those articles optimised to get visitors with discovery intent further into your conversion funnel.
Are you targeting the right people, the right keywords, the right niche, and where there’s pain points to begin with?
Are you creating regular pieces of content that add value to your audience. Content that stands out. Content that gives the reader value and helps to build your trust and authority.
Are you creating comparison content, for example “using WordPress for content creation” “using WIX for content creation” “using Webflow for content creation” aimed to help people decide the easiest solution for them and trust you as an authority.
Are you creating landing pages, with a sales letter and a prominent call to action around your value proposition. The copywriting here must differ to other content. Are you making sure you’re optimising these pages for conversion.
Are you creating content with a story. A hero who defeats all odds, dodges common pitfalls and comes out on top. A person who was stuck, in a grind, until they found you.
Are you creating video content to promote and bring it all together, because you know how important video is these days.
Do your videos look GOOD and sound GREAT so people actually watch them.
Take the guesswork out of content creation and join my email list where I share a step by step approach to grow your followers, subscribers, and more.
Are you creating content to run as paid advertising to your target audience, how does it perform relative to regular content. Can your content be better here. A different landing page for adverts perhaps.
Are you creating helpful content in communities around your niche – without being spammy.
Are you collaborating on content with key opinion leaders and building those connections and friendships.
Are you helping your fans create positive user generated content about your offer or your product (or you).
Are you creating content profiling successful case studies. Either of your solution, or of the concept you teach.
Are you creating featured images and titles that make people want to click and read more.
Are you using AI as your assistant. To help you with ideas, outlines or even places to engage in “suggest 10 subreddits linked to {niche} where this article could be helpful {link}”
Are you planning out which type of content to tackle first, and what cadence to release it for maximum impact.
Are you promoting and marketing what you’re creating on the relevant social media channels. Are you repurposing larger pieces into smaller threads.
Are you monitoring everything. Traffic, conversions, customer happiness. Are you changing course if the feedback isn’t 4 or 5*?
Are you creating content to also build your personal brand so people can learn to trust you, follow you, and become a true fan?
It’s enough to scare anyone off but there’s ways to tackle everything above without being overwhelmed or burnt out.
Hi – I’m Mike Stott.
I’m a little bit of everything. I’ve built businesses that have been acquired. I create content that is fun. I can write code
, and my day to day is in product marketing and brand advocacy for Jetpack at Automattic.
