Montclair had four different town managers from July 2020 to July 2024. At a January 2 council meeting, Michael Lapolla, Montclair’s interim town manager stated: “I am here until July. But until then, I’m going to do this job as if I was going to spend the next 10 years here.” It’s July and Lapolla is still here.
