“If you say the Rosary faithfully until death, I do assure you that, in spite of the gravity of your sins you
shall receive a never-fading crown of glory.

Even if you are on the brink of damnation, even if you have
one foot in hell, even if you have sold your soul to the devil as sorcerers do who practise black magic, and
even if you are a heretic as obstinate as a devil, sooner or later you will be converted and will amend your
life and will save your soul, if– and mark well what I say– if you say the Holy Rosary devoutly every day
until death for the purpose of knowing the truth and obtaining contrition and pardon for your sins.”

  • St. Louis De Montfort

“The rosary is the book of the blind, where souls see and there enact the greatest drama of love the world
has ever known; it is the book of the simple, which initiates them into mysteries and knowledge more
satisfying than the education of other men; it is the book of the aged, whose eyes close upon the shadow
of this world, and open on the substance of the next. The power of the rosary is beyond description.”

  • Archbishop Fulton Sheen

“When people love and recite the Rosary they find it makes them better.”

  • St. Anthony Mary Claret

“The Rosary is the most excellent form of prayer and the most efficacious means of attaining eternal life.
It is the remedy for all our evils, the root of all our blessings. There is no more excellent way of praying.”
-Pope Leo XIII

“The Rosary is a powerful weapon to put the demons to flight and to keep oneself from sin…If you desire
peace in your hearts, in your homes, and in your country, assemble each evening to recite the Rosary. Let
not even one day pass without saying it, no matter how burdened you may be with many cares and labors.”
-Pope Pius XI

“Some people are so foolish that they think they can go through life without the help of the Blessed
Mother. Love the Madonna and pray the rosary, for her Rosary is the weapon against the evils of the
world today. All graces given by God pass through the Blessed Mother.”
-St. Padre Pio

“No one can live continually in sin and continue to say the Rosary: either they will give up sin or they will
give up the Rosary”
-Bishop Hugh Doyle

“Among all the devotions approved by the Church none has been so favored by so many miracles as the
devotion of the Most Holy Rosary”
-Pope Pius IX

THE ROSARY

The Rosary is a certain form of prayer where certain prayers are said while holding each bead on a set of Rosary Beads . Beads have been commonly used when saying repetitive prayers throughout the centuries and are primarily used to keep track of what prayer is being said. There are certain prayers said on certain beads, and the prayers can be read from a book or easily memorized. Saying the Rosary is extremely easy and takes about 15 minutes or so to say, not much time to spend to receive help with the serious problems all of us face today! The Rosary consists of the following prayers: the Hail Mary, the Our Father, and the Glory Be, among a few other basic prayers. Below we offer Rosary Beads, all specifics on each prayer of the rosary, and how to say them etc, for those who are unfamiliar with the Rosary.
Why Should We Pray The Rosary?

Countless people, famous and unknown, have been praying the Rosary for centuries to obtain help with countless problems in life and the results that people have obtained by doing so have been astounding. We’ve seen people be cured from serious sicknesses, people have miraculously gotten off drugs, and many other astounding situations have been known to be completely solved through the Rosary!

We should pray the Rosary for many reasons. The first reason you may consider is the first class miracles associated with the Rosary throughout the centuries. The Rosary has repeatedly proven its great power to overcome every problem, small and large, personal, national and international. For example, the Rosary is associated with the Miracle at Fatima in 1917, witnessed by some 70,000 people. The Rosary is also associated with the winning of several popular battles throughout history as well as having saved a Church near where an atomic bomb was dropped in Japan during Word War II. The miracles associated with the Rosary throughout history are too numerous and too significant to ignore. Details on some of these miracles are listed below.

Another reason why so many people have turned to the Rosary throughout history is due to the fact that many of the holiest people in history have relied on the Rosary continuously for help and protection throughout their lives, and these people consistently recommended it openly to everyone during their lifetimes as well.

An example of some popular advocates of the Rosary are countless Saints. The daily recitation of the Rosary was the practice of St. Dominic, St. Louis King of France, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Charles Borromeo, St. Francis de Sales, St. Francis Xavier, St. John Vianney, St. Anthony Mary Claret, St. Louis de Montfort, and others whose aim was to live a perfectly holy life. An example of how these Saints felt about the Rosary is reflected in this quote from St. Louis de Montfort:
“If you say the Rosary faithfully until death, I do assure you that, in spite of the gravity of your sins you shall receive a never fading crown of glory.”
In addition, at least 50 Popes throughout history have openly advocated the Rosary
.
Some examples:
“The Rosary is the most excellent form of prayer and the most efficacious means of attaining eternal life. It is the remedy for all our evils, the root of all our blessings. There is no more excellent way of praying.” Pope Leo XIII

“The Rosary is a powerful weapon to put the demons to flight and to keep oneself from sin…If you desire peace in your hearts, in your homes, and in your country, assemble each evening to recite the Rosary. Let not even one day pass without saying it, no matter how burdened you may be with many cares and labors.” Pope Pius XI

“Among all the devotions approved by the Church, none has been so favored by so many miracles as the Rosary devotion.” Pope Pius IX

The Rosary is simply an extremely popular devotion for helping yourself and family and friends, and may even be used to help reduce or even overcome larger problems at the national and international levels as seen in the examples below.

Benefits of Saying The Rosary

With the world in the state it is in today, and with all of the problems our family and friends are facing today, the Rosary is the ideal way to help ourselves, family and friends, and is PROVEN to help us. The people that continue to have chronic, serious problems in their lives are people that are most likely not taking advantage of the benefits of prayer, and especially the Rosary. It costs us nothing to say the Rosary, only a few minutes of our day.

Example of Miracles Relating To The Rosary

Miracle of the Sun at Fatima, 1917 – The most well known miracle which is associated with the Rosary is the miracle related to the appearances of the Virgin Mary in Fatima, Portugal in 1917. Here three children claimed a lady appeared to them on multiple occasions, referring to herself as the “Lady of the Rosary”, asking that they “pray the Rosary every day” and asking the three children to give other messages to the people of the world. Since people would most likely not believe the children regarding these appearances, the “Lady of the Rosary” promised to perform a public miracle as proof.

At her final appearance to the children in October 1917, over 70,000 people gathered at the site of the appearances in expectation of the miracle the children mentioned she would perform.

That afternoon, an unexplainable miracle of the sun was experienced by over 70,000 people. This was printed in Fatima newspapers the following day which gave credence to the message the Virgin Mary gave to the three children.

These appearances are very well documented should anyone like to read the incredible interviews with the people who were there. Newspaper articles and accounts from some of the people there the day of the miracle (including skeptics!) can be seen here.

Russians Pullout of Austria, 1948 – After World War ll. the Allies turned over Catholic Austria to communist Russia.

For three years the Austrian people endured this tyranny. Then, a Franciscan priest, Father Petrus, remembered how the Christians although greatly outnumbered had defeated the Turks at the Battle of Lepanto through the Rosary, and he launched a Rosary crusade.

Through it 70,000 people, one tenth of the Austrian population, pledged to say the Rosary daily for the Soviets to leave their country. Austria was valuable to the Russians because of its strategic location, rich mineral deposits and oil reserves.

Yet on May 13, 1955, the anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady at Fatima, the Russians signed the agreement to leave Austria, and they did so without one person being killed and without one shot being fired. It is the only time that the militant atheistic forces of Marxism have ever peacefully left a country in which they held power.

strategists and historians are baffled as to why the Russians pulled out. But we are not – it was the power of the Rosary. This is just one of countless stories about the power of the Rosary!

Rosary Miracle at Hiroshima – August 6th, 1945 – There was a home eight blocks (about 1 kilometer) from where the A-Bomb went off in Hiroshima Japan. This home had a church attached to it which was completely destroyed, but the home survived, and so did the eight German Jesuit missionaries who prayed the rosary in that house faithfully every day. See Miracle of the Rosary at Hiroshima.

The Country That Saved Itself – Brazil 1962 – In 1962 there was a looming threat of communist takeover in Brazil. A woman there named Dona Amelia Bastos was known to have formed a Rosary rally among the Brazilian women there to do their part in opposing the looming threat. Their goal was simply to pray the Rosary in large groups asking the Virgin Mary for help in opposing the Communist takeover which the President of Brazil was leaning toward at the time.

In Belo Horizonte 20,000 women reciting the rosary aloud broke up a Communist rally. In Sao Paulo, 600,000 women praying the rosary in one of the most moving demonstrations in Brazilian history, caused the President of Brazil to flee the country and not a single death was encountered, sparing the country from Communist takeover.

Battle of Lepanto, 1571 – Before a large scale attack by the Ottoman Turks on an army of Christians in 1571, where the Christians were outnumbered three to one, the Rosary was prayed by all of the Christian soldiers and the Turks were miraculously defeated in the battle. To this day this victory has been attributed to the praying of the Rosary.

✝️ OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY
⚜ 07 OCTOBER

The feast of Our Lady of the Rosary was instituted to honor Mary for the Christian victory over the Turks at Lepanto on October 7, 1571. Pope St. Pius V and all Christians had prayed the Rosary for victory. The Rosary, or the Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is one of the best prayers to Mary, the Mother of God.

Pope Benedict XVI invites all families to pray the Rosary for the intentions of the Pope, the mission of the Church and peace. “It is as if every year Our Lady invited us to rediscover the beauty of this prayer, so simple and profound.” The Rosary, a “contemplative and Christocentric prayer, inseparable from the meditation of Sacred Scripture,” is “the prayer of the Christian who advances in the pilgrimage of faith, in the following of Jesus, preceded by Mary,” said the Pontiff.

This feast was instituted by Pope St. Pius V in thanksgiving for the great naval victory over the Turks at the battle of Lepanto on this day in the year 1570, a favor due to the recitation of the Rosary. This victory saved Europe from being overrun by the forces of Islam.

Lepanto, perhaps the most complete victory ever gained over the Ottoman Empire, on October 7, 1571, is commemorated by the invocation “Help of Christians,” inserted in the Litany of Loretto. At Belgrade the Turks were defeated on the Feast of Our Lady ad Nives in 1716.

A second victory gained that year on the Octave of the Assumption determined Pope Clement XI to command the Feast of the Rosary to be celebrated by the universal Church. Leo XIII added the invocation “Queen of the most Holy Rosary, pray for us,” to the Litany of Loretto. The Feast is in reality a great festival of thanksgiving for the signal and countless benefits bestowed on Christendom through the Rosary of our blessed Queen.

In modern times successive popes have urged the faithful to pray the Rosary. It is a form of contemplative prayer, mental and vocal prayer, which brings down God’s blessing on the Church. It is a biblically inspired prayer which is centered on meditation on the salvific mysteries of Christ in union with Mary, who was so closely associated with her Son in his redeeming activity.

We have related in the life of Saint Pius V the victory of Lepanto; here we will speak of the Rosary itself, granted to Saint Dominic by Our Lady Herself in the thirteenth century, with promises of the greatest blessings for those who recite it well.

The Rosary of fifteen decades affords a simple means of meditation on the principal mysteries of our holy Religion, and a means of drawing closer to the Saviour through the intercession of the One to whom He never refuses anything. One can also say the chaplet of five decades, since the fifteen are divided into three groups of five:

The Joyful, the Sorrowful, and the Glorious Mysteries of the life of Christ.

On the crucifix, one recites the Credo or Apostles’ Creed, which the Apostles themselves composed at the first Council of Jerusalem, before their definitive separation, thereby resolving the question of what exactly should be taught to the neophytes.

By it we honor the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity and express our faith in the Church established by God; in the Communion of the faithful, whether living or deceased; in the pardon of sins, the general resurrection at the end of the world, and eternal life.

Before each decade, the Pater or Our Father, taught by our Saviour Himself when His Apostles asked how they should pray, includes three petitions for the glory of God in heaven: May His Name be sanctified, rendered holy in the sight of all nations; may His Kingdom come — the interior reign of God which renders Him the Sovereign governing every heart and mind by His love — this, while we await Christ’s own final return as visible King of His Church and all creation; thirdly, may His Will be accomplished on earth, to perfection, as it is in heaven. There follow four petitions for ourselves and our salvation.

We ask, under the general term of “our daily bread,” that God provide for all our needs, both spiritual and material; we beg His forgiveness for our sins, in the same measure we have forgiven our neighbor’s offenses, real or imaginary. And we implore to be spared temptation or to be delivered from succumbing to it and all other evils that would separate us from God.

In the Ave Maria or Hail Mary, we repeat the words of the Angel Gabriel to Mary (Luke 1:18), repeated and augmented by Saint Elizabeth at the Visitation (Luke 1:42), adding the invocation of the Church for Her aid at the present moment and at the formidable hour of our death.

After each decade, we add the Gloria Patri or Doxology, to honor the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity.

THE 15 PROMISES OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY TO CATHOLICS WHO DEVOUTLY PRAY THE ROSARY DAILY

image

Our Lady revealed to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche these 15 promises or benefits for those who devoutly pray the Rosary daily.

These promises are different to the rosary indulgences.

The 15 Promises

1) To all those who shall recite my Rosary devoutly, I promise my special protection and very great graces.

2) Those who shall persevere in the recitation of my Rosary shall receive some signal grace.

3) The Rosary shall be a very powerful armor against hell; it will destroy vice, deliver from sin, and dispel heresy.

4) The Rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies; it will substitute in hearts love of God for love of the world, and will lift them to the desire of heavenly and eternal things. How many souls shall sanctify themselves by this means!

5) Those who trust themselves to me through the Rosary, shall not perish.

6) Those who shall recite my Rosary devoutly, meditating on its mysteries, shall not be overwhelmed by misfortune. The sinner shall be converted; the just shall grow in grace and become worthy of eternal life.

7) Those truly devoted to my Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church.

8) Those who recite my Rosary shall find during their life and at their death the light of God, the fullness of His graces, and shall share in the merits of the blessed.

9) I shall deliver very promptly from purgatory the souls devoted to my Rosary.

10) The true children of my Rosary shall enjoy great glory in heaven.

11) What you ask through my Rosary, you shall obtain.

12) Those who propagate my Rosary shall be aided by me in all their necessities.

13) I have obtained from my Son that all the members of the Rosary Confraternity shall have for their brethren the saints of heaven during their life and at the hour of death.

14) Those who recite my Rosary faithfully are all my beloved children, the brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.

15) Devotion to my Rosary is a great sign of predestination
