On 26 July 2024, AFFIN ISLAMIC had the honour of participating in the graduation ceremony of the MyREF Hijrahpreneur Skills Program Melaka 2023/2024 (MyREF HSP). Organised by the Malaysian Research & Education Foundation (MyREF) in collaboration with Majlis Agama Islam Melaka (MAIM) and Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM), the event was held at Kompleks Darul Huda, Balai Islam, Melaka. The MyREF HSP is a business upskilling program aimed at empowering Asnaf participants to expand their businesses. Over nearly seven months, 10 participants completed three sub-programs: Advanced Digital Entrepreneur, Business Management, and Halal Training. Affin Islamic Bank Berhad, Board of Director, Encik Dali Sardar presented a mock cheque totalling RM157,000 to Ts. The #JanganKenaScam Scam Awareness Talk is now rolling out to a campus near you! In the first quarter of 2024, we reached out to Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Sg Long Campus in March, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam in April, and UCSI University in May. We are now bringing the #JanganKenaScam Scam Awareness Talk to our fifth university in Klang Valley. Through the #JanganKenaScam initiative, we educate students and educators on scam tactics and prevention methods.
