Apple’s new campus is a marvel of design and engineering that’s meant to resemble a spaceship and pay homage to God himself, a man named Steve Jobs. According to a new report from Bloomberg, it’s also a death trap? Because of all the glass? Apparently, the geniuses at Apple keep walking into windows and doors because they’re too busy staring at their phones.

Surrounding the Cupertino, California-based building are 45-foot tall curved panels of safety glass. Inside are work spaces, dubbed “pods,” also made with a lot of glass. Apple staff are often glued to the iPhones they helped popularize. That’s resulted in repeated cases of distracted employees walking into the panes, according to people familiar with the incidents.
Perfecto. Some enterprising employees have apparently taken to leaving sticky notes on the glass in the hopes of escaping their Marcel Marceau version of hell. Unfortunately, the notes are getting taken down because they “detracted from the building’s design.” Like all of Apple’s products, form sometimes trumps function.
