All the Best Fourth of July Sales

Amazon released a lot of early Prime Day deals last week, and now it has added plenty of Fourth of July offerings to the mix. I found some nice, seasonally-appropriate savings on grills, mosquito repellers, and camping gear.

Through July 7, select home décor is up to 40 percent off, and already-on-sale apparel and home items are an additional 50 percent off at checkout. (Note that the discount will show up only once you’ve added something to your cart.)

Article’s July 4 sale is nearly identical to its Memorial Day sale, which had a lot of just fine deals but a few very good ones. The brand makes our best-in-class sofa, bed frame, and dining chair, and I found all those items (or very similar versions) for up to 30 percent off.

Athleta’s nice-looking athletic gear is up to 70 percent off, including some of senior editor Jen Trolio’s favorite leggings. Plenty of the deals could pass as non-gym clothes, too — I love wearing athletic skorts over the summer for their sweat-wicking properties.

Over at Baserange, home of delightful cotton basics, the spring collection is 40 percent off and the summer collection is 30 percent off. Heads up: Sizes usually sell out quickly.

Everything at Brooklinen is 20 percent off — the typical discount it offers during holidays.

Through July 14, Burrow is offering up to 75 percent off select items. Most discounts hover around 15 to 25 percent off, which is a pretty good discount when you’re buying a couch. I suggest the Nomad sofa, if you’re in the market, as we named it the “designiest” flat-pack sofa. It’s up to 25 percent off, depending on which fabric you select. (The spill-proof gray pictured below is the cheapest.)

Calpak’s Strategist-approved luggage and travel accessories are up to 60 percent off through July 11.

The Citizenry is discounting its bedding, bath, pillows, and rugs by 20 percent, and all furniture is 10 percent off. For hot sleepers, Strategist associate editor Jenna Milliner-Waddell says the stonewashed French flax linen sheets are the coolest sheets she’s ever slept on. And I spotted a really good deal on the Alondra throw pillow, which is 60 percent off as part of the brand’s archive sale.

The maker of some of our best-in-class bed pillows, body pillows, and mattress toppers is offering 20 percent off at checkout through July 8, no code needed.

For its annual Fourth of July warehouse sale, Crate & Barrel is offering up to 60 percent off nearly 2,000 items through July 8. I found lots of fun dinnerware — like shatterproof wine glasses and a Le Creuset Dutch oven — as well as throw pillows for the patio and airy summer bedding.

And if you’re on the hunt for kids’ stuff, the summer warehouse sale at Crate & Kids is very good, too, particularly in the bedding section.

Through July 8, sale items are an additional 10 percent off with the code EXTRA10. Most of the Strategist-approved products I spotted are available either as bundles or travel-size versions — though it looks like most, if not all, Eyeko makeup is on sale.

In-stock styles are 20 percent off through July 11 — which is about as good a deal as you’ll get at DWR. Plus, some already marked-down items are an additional 20 percent off with the code EXTRA20.

DSW’s semi-annual sale goes through July 7, with tons of summer-ready sandals and slip-ons discounted. Most are under $50!

Everlane’s Summer Sale has some of the best discounts we’ve seen so far — $18 tank tops! $29 sundresses! — so don’t dillydally, because sizes are already selling out. For even more picks, we’ve put together a guide to shopping the Everlane sale here.

Ganni’s sale section has some of the best deals I’ve ever seen the brand offer — and most items are still in stock in all sizes.

Gap is seemingly always having a sale, and the Fourth of July is no different. Thousands of items are up to 75 percent off, and select products are an extra 50 percent off at checkout. The sale lasts through the end of the day on July 4.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a good sale at Girlfriend Collective, so I’m delighted to report that all full-price styles are 25 percent off at checkout. Plenty of other styles are up to 70 percent off, and our writer Katherine Gillespie rounded up all her favorites here.

For its end-of-season sale, J.Crew is offering 50 percent off summer styles and an extra 60 percent off sale items with the code JULY through July 8 — which is just about the best deal the brand ever offers.

Kinfield’s insect repellent smells so good that Strategist contributor Aleta Burchyski’s husband occasionally wears it as cologne. It, along with everything else (excluding bundles), is 25 percent off through July 12 with the code STRAT25. (Note that the repellent spray is only available for pre-order and will ship in late July.)

Kule’s summer sale is full of colorful clothing for all ages, and it’s all up to 40 percent off. I’ve got my eye on the brand’s classic striped tee, as well as our best cotton shorts for women.

Thousands of items are 40 percent off at Macy’s for the holiday weekend — mostly clothes, but there are some home items on sale, too. I found a few super-deep discounts in the mix, including a hard-side suitcase from Samsonite that’s 65 percent off.

Madewell’s end-of-season sale has some especially good discounts. Use the code COOLDOWN to get an additional 30 percent off already-on-sale items, including lots of Strategist-approved denim, through July 10 at 2:59 a.m. ET.

Everything at Material is 30 percent off with the code TOMATOSEASON. (That’s an even better deal than the brand offered for Black Friday.)

Technically, Nordstrom isn’t having a Fourth of July sale — it’s busy ramping up for its Anniversary Sale, which goes live in a few weeks. But there are so many summer items in its discount bin right now that I just had to include a few of my favorites here.

Through July 7, take 30 percent off all towels and towel bundles, 15 percent off bedding bundles, and an extra 20 off already-on-sale items.

All of Poketo’s colorful home goods are 20 percent off through July 5 with our exclusive code STRAT. We’re big fans of its office supplies — particularly the planners, which are great in both the notebook- and poster-size versions.

REI’s Fourth of July sale is live. As per usual, there’s plenty of gear from REI’s in-house brand on sale. I also spotted our fitness writer Jeremy Rellosa’s favorite headlamp and a great hiking backpack for beginners. The discounts won’t get any better, and the sale ends at midnight on July 4.

Sephora’s “Summer Deal Week” starts today and runs through July 10, with up to half off select makeup and fragrances, 25 percent off select shampoo and conditioner, and 25 percent off select skin care. There will also be a different deal on a specific brand or two per day. Today, July 4, all Tula products are 25 percent off.

Plenty of celebrities have told us that they love Tumi’s travel bags. Through July 7, the brand’s suitcases, wallets, backpacks, and more are up to 40 percent off.

Ulta has been having rotating weekly deals for its Big Summer Beauty Sale, which started on Sunday. This week’s deals last through July 6 and include sales on Vacation and Half Magic products and up to 30 percent off sun care and skin care.
