Alfonso Ribeiro revives the Carlton on ‘DWTS’

This is a story all about how Carlton transformed from a sweater-wearing nerd on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” to a dancing phenom.

Alfonso Ribeiro, who portrayed the character on the hit TV show in the early 1990s, has been promising fans that the Carlton — an embarrassing dance move that became synonymous with the character’s name — would make an appearance during his stint on “Dancing With the Stars.” And Monday night he delivered.

Alongside his partner Witney Carson, the duo took the stage to Tom Jones’ “It’s Not Unusual,” saving the iconic shimmy and finger-snapping for the dance’s final moments.

“I’m so glad that you made us wait for the Carlton, it’s almost like dating, you know,” judge Julianne Hough said following their performance, which earned them a 40 out of 40 — the only perfect score of the night.

Now, if Jonathan Bennett will just push his hair back and say “fetch,” all will be right with the world.
