Pinocchio Psaki’s published lies: Letters to the Editor — May 16, 2024

The Issue: Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki publishing false claims in a new book.

It’s really no surprise that Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki lied in her book about President Biden’s disrespect for the fallen service members (“Pinocchio Psaki,” May 15).

Wasn’t that her job at the White House? To look straight at the camera and lie to the American people? She did it so well.

There is hardly a more sacred moment for our country — and thus our president — than the homecoming of our fallen soldiers.

It is always an historical event. Psaki decried critics’ attempts to show Biden as insensitive as he checked his watch during this tragic ceremony several years ago.

But Biden has a track record on insensitivity when it comes to our fallen heroes. A couple months ago, in New York, he chose to party and mop up millions in special-interest campaign contributions instead of paying respects to murdered NYPD Det. Jonathan Diller as he lay in his coffin just miles away.
Psaki’s book should be taken off the shelves.

This is despicable: Jen Psaki wrote a book and deliberately lied about President Biden disgracefully checking his watch as the bodies of our servicemen and women were brought home to the United States from Afghanistan.

Psaki is, like so many of the elitist left, so arrogant that she thinks she can get away with anything to further her narrative.

What she did was insulting to every one of the families of those brave men and women who have died needlessly under Biden’s tenure as commander-in-chief.

Scribner, the publishing house that released Psaki’s book, states that it will correct the inaccuracies and that they will be “removed in future reprints and the e-book.”

Reprints? You gotta be kidding. This book has probably already been consigned to the remainder bin, and I doubt Scribner will waste staff effort on an e-book version.

A typical lefty substitute for an apology.

The Issue: Duke students protesting commencement speaker Jerry Seinfeld over his pro-Israel stance.

What’s the deal with the graduates at Duke University who walked out on Jerry Seinfeld’s commencement address (“Dukies’ yada yada intifada,” May 12)?

It was a speech about nothing political — he didn’t even mention the Hamas-Israel war.

His only “offenses” were that he has met with families of Israelis kidnapped by Hamas on Oct. 7 to offer support and that he backs Israel’s right to exist — not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Since these fragile anti-Israel snowflakes could not handle being at a graduation ceremony with a pro-Israel comedian, let’s hope that when they left, they went somewhere else where they wouldn’t be so easily offended.

Jerry Seinfeld is no joke.

He was dropping knowledge on the class of ’24 at Duke University as he spoke to his and their privilege.

He offered the students this piece of advice: No need to apologize! Embrace your privilege and give back to society.

Life is not a free ride, but one to be earned.

Ask protesting Duke grads if they would rather free Palestine or have some of Jerry’s money.
I bet the answer would be the money.
