NYC penthouse prominently featured in Netflix’s ‘Owning Manhattan’ sells for $15M

An airy abode once rented by Bad Bunny has a new owner — and it’s a home that many Netflix subscribers may recognize from a buzzy, and newly released, series.

The sprawling penthouse at Jardim, at 527 W. 27th St., has been purchased by India-born banker and executive vice chair of Citigroup Viswas “Vis” Raghavan and Pamela Raghavan for a cool $15 million, the Real Deal first reported.

The sale, which public record shows closed in May, followed the four-bedroom, four-bathroom unit renting for a cool $150,000 per month to rapper Bad Bunny, The Post exclusively reported last October.

At the time, The Post noted that the apartment had last listed for sale with a price tag of $18.5 million (it initially sought $21 million based solely on on floor plans, in 2016) and was slated to make an appearance on celebrity broker Ryan Serhant’s upcoming Netflix reality series.

That freshly released series, “Owning Manhattan,” did indeed feature the residence in multiple episodes of the first season. In one, during a promotional party to lure in bids, multiple Serhant agents bicker with each other over personal beef and a company podcast in which two agents talk trash about their colleagues. In the season finale, Bad Bunny’s winning rental bid landed — first for $100,000 per month, then a considerably higher $150,000 per month — with an immediate move-in.

Located atop award-winning Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld’s 11-story, 36-unit Jardim (Portuguese for “garden”), the penthouse offers 4,500 square feet of indoor space, plus 4,600 square feet of outdoor space spread over multiple terraces and a lap pool-equipped rooftop. (That pool also makes on-screen appearances.) There is also a library, direct elevator access, sliding glass walls, sweeping Hudson River views, an outdoor kitchen and a spiral staircase.

Additionally, Jardim offers residents amenities including onsite parking, a yoga studio, a children’s playroom, a 60-foot skylighted lap pool, a gym, a 9,000-square-foot private club — and a landscaped, multi-level garden spotted with wood pathways and benches, The Post previously reported.

Serhant’s Chase Landlow held the listing in this spring’s sale, for which Douglas Elliman’s Frances Katzen represented the buyer, according to the Real Deal.
