“Isn’t that amazing?” Cartwright said about their relation. “When you find out that somebody — maybe you’ve known me for a little while, doing this little 10-year-old boy for 35-some years, and some of you guys, for like way less than that — find out that I’m related to this superstar. She’s pretty amazing.”

Cartwright captioned the video: “The rumors are true! Sabrina Carpenter is my niece!”

Fans had a big reaction after watching Cartwright’s TikTok.

“But why does Sabrina being related to Bart Simpson makes [sic] so much sense??? it really is a family attitude,” one person commented.

“Can we hear Bart sing espresso?! PLEASEEEEE,” another fan said.

“I was today years old when I found this out,” a different comment read.

Someone else said, “As being a fan of the Simpsons and loving Sabrina Carpenter this is so cool to find this out.”

Another person wrote, “I am so calling it, Sabrina is gonna be a character of an episode of the Simpsons at some point.”

Carpenter, for her part, has spoken about her aunt before.

She told Capital FM in March 2021, “It’s pretty wild, isn’t it? It runs in the family, I guess.”

“By relation, I am also a legend,” the “Girl Meets World” alum added. “No, absolutely not, not even close. But I will just say that my whole life, that was the coolest thing in the world to me. I wasn’t even allowed to watch the show until I was a little bit older. The woman is a woman of many talents. She’s not just Bart, and she always blows me away.”

Later that year, the “Please Please Please” singer told Wired how she’s related to Cartwright.

“It’s my dad’s sister,” she said, adding, “We work on kind of different ends of the industry, but I’ve learned so much just from observing her, and she’s so talented.”

Cartwright has voiced Bart Simpson in the animated series since 1989.

She’s voiced other characters including Maggie Simpson, Todd Flanders and Nelson Muntz.

Cartwright is also known for voicing Chuckie in “Rugrats,” Rufus in “Kim Possible” and Mindy in “Animaniacs.”

Meanwhile, Carpenter is having a huge moment right now following the release of her singles “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.”

Both songs are from her upcoming album “Short n’ Sweet,” which will be released on August 23.

The former Disney Channel star also opened for Taylor Swift’s history-making Eras Tour.
