I tried 32 of Glossier’s best makeup and skincare products — Full review

It’s safe to say Glossier is a trailblazer in the beauty industry. Its quintessential “Glossier” pink and no-makeup, your-skin-but-better aesthetic is, undoubtedly, second to none.

Founder Emily Weiss began her career by spearheading and scaling up Into The Gloss, an artfully curated beauty site filled with skincare secrets, top-of-the-list trends and the infamous #shelfie of influencers, celebs and public figures.

“At Glossier, we make products designed to live with you at the intersection of efficacious and enjoyable. They are intuitive, delightful to use and, most importantly, they work,” Emily Trillaud, senior director of product at Glossier, told the New York Post. “We believe that beauty is about having fun, celebrating freedom and community.”

After reading “Glossy” by Marisa Meltzer, an inside look at how Glossier got its start (and an insightful beauty lover’s manifesto that I read in a total of three hours straight on a Saturday), I knew I had to try the brand firsthand.

You could say I’m the poster child for the Glossier Effect — a purveyor of all things beauty who had to swatch, slug and soak in all the brand has to offer.

Ahead, you’ll find my honest review of nearly every item at Glossier, including what’s worth it and what you may want to skip (depending on your skin type and desired look). As well, we have an in-depth, inside interview with the Glossier team. In short, it’s one of the most glamorous reviews yet.

How we tested

Glossier Review
Victoria Giardina

Before testing each product from Glossier for at least two weeks, here’s the testing criteria I kept in mind when using each one:

  • Staying power: Of course, pretty-in-pink packaging doesn’t mean much if the products won’t last. Much to my delight, nearly all lasted all day — and I provided honest feedback for all products tested below.
  • Versatility: The beauty of Glossier isn’t just within its formula but also in its use cases. Some products are multi-purpose, and this raises their value.
  • Comparability: I’ve tested a slew of beauty products (read: best skincare brands we reviewed), so I outlined which products are *truly* worth your hard-earned coin.

Best Glossier Product Overall: Glossier Wowder Weightless Finishing Powder

Glossier Wowder Weightless Finishing Powder
Glossier

The second I swiped on the Glossier Wowder Weightless Finishing Powder, I was impressed. Long story short, you have to try this product. It noticeably evens out your skin tone (more noticeably than some other, more expensive loose powders I’ve been using for years) and, the best part, it doesn’t make a mess everywhere.

“With a matte, never flat finish, you can customize your level of dewiness by blotting in targeted areas,” Trillaud told The Post. “It won’t leave you with telltale chalky residue, cake or crease into fine lines, or flatten skin’s texture.”

Glossier Stretch Face Brush

Glossier Stretch Face Brush
Glossier

Meet the portable, pretty-in-pink powder brush that simply makes your blending and buffing even more sublime: the Glossier Stretch Face Brush. With one click, the brush will rotate open or shut — a mechanism I appreciate — as your brush hairs will be nice and protected in its metallic case when not in use.

I never thought a makeup brush could make a true difference until this one was in my hands. Although it’s more expensive than the brand’s Wowder Weightless Finishing Powder, it’s a must-grab.

Additionally, Trillaud shared that this brush is specially designed to work with Wowder for a smooth, natural finish. “With soft and fluffy, perfectly dense bristles, the silky synthetic fibers pick up the exact amount of Wowder you need. Never too little, never too much,” she said.

Glossier Boy Brow

Glossier Boy Brow
Glossier

“When we launched Boy Brow in 2015, this product introduced the world to a brow pomade, perfect for those on the go, with a formula distinctive from anything available at the time,” Trillaud said, highlighting the brand’s hero product. “The brushable, creamy wax formula, beeswax and carnauba, provides a flexible, lightweight hold, defines, thickens and shapes brows.”

It’s the time-saving, convenient makeup product that’s less than $20 — and it’s one of my most-used brow essentials. It coats hairs without stiffening or flaking over time (meaning no more sticky residue from other clear brow coats).

“It’s still a beloved product, with one sold every minute, and we now offer this in seven shades,” Trillaud said. “Earlier this summer, we launched a bigger size with 20 percent more of the award-winning formula inside!”

Glossier Priming Moisturizer Buildable Hydrating Creme

Glossier Priming Moisturizer Buildable Hydrating Creme
Glossier

Finally — a product that doubles as both a makeup primer and an easy-swipe moisturizer, all at your fingertips. The tube morphs into its own shape when squeezed, a nod at Glossier’s natural-leaning makeup packaging and Instagram-worthy aesthetic (especially for your #shelfie).

Trillaud said this is “a lightweight, buildable moisturizer that instantly brings out the best in all skin types.” Why it’s worth the hype? It hydrates, visibly evens skin texture and minimizes the look of pores — all while priming skin for gorgeous makeup application. It’s a dreamboat for dry skin, too.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser Conditioning Face Wash

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser Conditioning Face Wash
Glossier

At first pump, I was impressed by Glossier’s Milky Jelly Cleanser Conditioning Face Wash’s creamy consistency. It does the job of removing dirt and debris from your face, and is one I love using before other Glossier serums, moisturizers and masks, yet it has somewhat of a plastic-y scent once it’s applied. This may be a dealbreaker for some, but I moved past it. It’s likely due to its packaging.

“This is a nourishing and pH-balanced gel-cream cleanser that plays nicely with all skin types,” Trillaud said. “Conditioning and vegan ingredients leave skin soft and smooth while dissolving dirt, oil and makeup when you’re ready to wipe the day away.”

Glossier Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector

Glossier Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector
Glossier

Real talk — the Glossier Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector wasn’t my *favorite* when used on its own. But, when applied in tandem with the brand’s cleanser, it helped remove unwanted texture from my skin, nearly instantaneously. The one downside to this product is that plastic-y scent, likely from its packaging.

This product is a daily skin-perfecting exfoliator that helps transforms the look and feel of your complexion well. Trillaud said the product is good for gently “ungluing” dull, dead skin and sweeping it away.

“With everyday use, a 10-percent blend of exfoliating acids, including alpha hydroxy acid, beta hydroxy acid and polyhydroxy help improve the appearance of uneven texture, visibly reduce redness, and shrink enlarged pores for smoother, softer, glowier skin,” she said.

Glossier Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum

Glossier Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum
Glossier

Behold: my favorite serum from Glossier. I’ve never used a vitamin C serum with magnesium incorporated into it (and I’ve tested a lot), but it shimmered without the shine on my face to create a natural glow. Magnesium helps regulate cellular regeneration and repair, per a trusted wellness source — though scientific studies still have yet to be conducted.

It’s everything I love in a serum: a chic bottle, brightening formula and easily absorbable feel. It’s better than half of the pretty potions I’ve used, too, as others left a greasy or orange-y residue after dispensing.

“This is a lightweight, nourishing serum formulated with 5 percent vitamin C derivative and Magnesium PCA,” Trillaud said. “These ingredients team up to even skin tone, improve the appearance of dark spots, and replenish moisture for recharged, refreshed and glow-y skin.”

Glossier Super Bounce Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5 Serum

Glossier Super Bounce Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5 Serum
Glossier

The Glossier Super Bounce Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5 Serum contains the well-recognized “superstar” ingredient hyaluronic acid, in addition to vitamin B5 — an ingredient that has been tested to help “reduce hyperpigmentation [and] improve skin tone evenness, the appearance of lightening the skin and…skin texture,” per a study by ScientificScholar.

Similar to the brand’s Super Glow, this product’s creamy, decadent texture is both versatile and stunning. Honest advice? You’ll probably want to pick up all three of Glossier’s serum and never let them leave your counter.

“This is a fast-absorbing, super refreshing serum with a soothing combo of 2 percent hyaluronic acid complex and Pro-vitamin B5,” Trillaud said. “Beneath the skin, this one-two punch gets to work, deeply hydrating on multiple layers for a visibly smooth, soft and never sticky canvas.”

Glossier Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum

Glossier Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum
Glossier

Say hello to bouncy, clearer looking skin over time (and yes, my skin felt plumper with just one morning and evening use).

“With a daily vitamin and mineral duo of Zinc PCA and 5 percent niacinamide, it’s the perfect amount to be effective without irritating skin,” Trillaud said. “This double dose nourishes skin for visibly smoother texture, smaller-looking pores and improved clarity.”

Because this is pretty comparable to the brand’s Super Bounce serum, whichever one you choose (if you narrow down to one) is going to come down to preference. Read our guide to niacinamide for more intel.

Glossier Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid

Glossier Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid
Glossier

Because I don’t love the look of dewy skin all too much (I’m more of a “let’s make the skin hydrated” type of gal), I wasn’t expecting to love the brand’s Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid. However, it’s a versatile product that just adds a bit of radiance to your skincare routine when sandwiched between your cleanser and moisturizer.

“Packed with some of skincare’s most hydrating heavy-hitters, four nourishing oils, powerful plant-based extracts and light-reflecting minerals, Futuredew give you a gleamy, well-moisturized, brighter look that lasts up to 12 hours,” Trillaud said.

The kicker: it’s an oil-serum hybrid that’s a “one-step shortcut to the way your skin looks after a full skincare routine,” as she said.

Glossier After Baume Moisture Barrier Recovery Cream

Glossier After Baume Moisture Barrier Recovery Cream
Glossier

The Glossier After Baume Moisture Barrier Recovery Cream is one of those products that helps to correct the skin’s barrier. Because I have dry and very, very sensitive skin, this was the saving grace I needed to help reverse imperfections and give it a natural “reset.”

“The buttery, cocooning cream, formulated with plant-based moisture magnets, glycerin and cupuaçu butter, helps dry skin bounce back and lock in hydration for up to 24 hours,” Trillaud said.

This product was awarded the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance. It especially helps relive that tight, dull feeling that you certainly don’t desire or crave, too.

Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream

Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream
Glossier

Holy, moisturizer. When I tell you Glossier’s Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream measured up to some luxury skincare brands upwards of $200, I mean it. To me, this is one of the most versatile and universally produced products the brand has to offer. It suits those in their 20s and older adults with mature skin alike.

“This is a luxuriously rich yet fast-absorbing face cream that delivers a surge of long-lasting hydration,” Trillaud said. “The buttery texture and blend of botanical oils and glycerin melt into skin to give you a smooth, dewy finish that’s perfectly prepped for makeup.”

Although it’s heavier than other balms and creams that Glossier has to offer, it’s not at all heavy — the best feeling, TBH.

Glossier Stretch Fluid Foundation

Glossier Stretch Fluid Foundation
Glossier

As soon as Glossier debuted its foundation as of late, every beauty lover was on board, ready to buff and blend. I was probably the most excited to give its Stretch Fluid Foundation a go.

Candidly, it’s not as full-coverage as I had originally thought (which makes sense, considering the whole “no-makeup makeup” vibes Glossier has going on). It was interesting to see the fluid literally stretch and blend seamlessly. It’s the most buildable coverage I’ve ever tried for that reason, though be sure to use a sheer concealer; if you use one that tethers on heavy and goopy, it’ll reverse its natural look.

“This is an 89 percent skincare-based, gel-cream foundation that leaves skin looking moisturized with a natural-to-you finish,” Trillaud said. “Formulated to fuse with skin, never cake on top, blend seamlessly and wear up to 12 hours. Stretch Fluid Foundation’s shade range spans 32 flexible shades across 7 shade categories and 5 undertone groups.”

Glossier Stretch Balm Concealer

Glossier Stretch Balm Concealer
Glossier

Where there’s foundation, there’s concealer, and the Glossier Stretch Balm Concealer is a budget-friendly dab-and-cover product that looks great with or without foundation.

What I love most about its formulation is how its non-drying. When concealers typically come in a pot form, it always feels drying when I use my fingers to dab it underneath my eyes (and, with dry skin, that’s something you don’t want). This, however, was a refreshing take on other not-so-good ones I’ve used in years past.

“This is the same concealer you know and love, now available in 32 foundation-matching shades,” Trillaud said. “It has buildable coverage formulated to camouflage skin realities like dark circles, blemishes and redness, but it’ll always look like skin with a dewy, glow-y finish.”

Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint Sheer Skin Enhancer

Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint Sheer Skin Enhancer
Glossier

Meet the Queen of the “no-makeup makeup” Look: the Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint Sheer Skin Enhancer. These types of your-skin-but-better cover ups are all over the beauty sphere right now, but this one doesn’t conceal beauty marks, freckles and anything outside your natural beauty. Its soft-focus effect is second to none, especially on days where you *kind of* want to wear makeup, but don’t.

“This product gives an undetectable wash of color that evens out skin’s appearance but won’t hide your freckles, cake your pores or cover you up,” Trillaud said. “The ultra-thin, breathable formula leaves you with a smooth, dewy finish that lets your skin shine through.”

Its unique composition of diamond powder gives a subtle brightening effect, while its glycerin content helps to lock in moisture and attract hydration.

Glossier Balm Dotcom Universal Salve

Glossier Balm Dotcom Universal Salve
Glossier

If you love multi-purpose products with a bit of color, the Glossier Balm Dotcom Universal Salve is for you. Transparently, it’s not my most-used product from the brand, as I’m typically used to a one-size-fits-all product assortment. But this is a great option to toss in your bag for a just-because moment. It’s also a hallmark of the brand, which adds to its desirability.

“Formulated with antioxidants and natural emollients, Balm Dotcom’s vegan, does-it-all formula immediately nourishes dry, chapped lips and keeps them quenched for hours,” Trillaud said. “The specially-designed applicator makes sure your balm applies exactly where you want it.”

Because of its targeted application and ultra-affordable price point, I’d recommend picking it up. Why not?

Glossier Ultralip

Glossier Ultralip
Glossier

The Glossier Ultralip was the first-ever product I tried from the brand’s stockpile. I was #influenced by a beauty vlogger on YouTube to pick up its “Trench” shade — it’s by far my most-worn lip color (and I’ve reviewed an array of nude lipsticks, let me tell you).

Because it’s so creamy, it has a tendency to have a partially messy application. However, the hydration, pigmentation and cream-to-gloss application has me sticking to it. To make application loads easier, start by using a lip liner, pressing down lightly and blending the product out with a lip brush or your fingers. Crisis averted.

Glossier Lash Slick Film Form Mascara

Glossier Lash Slick Film Form Mascara
Glossier

The lengthening power of Glossier Lash Slick Film Form Mascara is unreal. On some days, I can’t believe it’s less than $20. On all days, I’m so glad it’s less than $20.

“The weightless, flexible formula will give you natural-looking lift and length with teeny-tiny fibers that coat each individual lash from root to tip for maximum definition,” Trillaud said. “Come for better-looking lashes, stay for the long-wearing, water-resistant, not waterproof formula that stays in place for up to 12 hours, without smudging or flaking.”

Oh, and if you really want to be a Team Glossier member and honor that “no-makeup makeup” look to the next level, opt for its brown shade. It’s giving your-lashes-but-better vibes (and we’re totally here for it).

Glossier Pro Tip Brush Point Liquid Eyeliner

Glossier Pro Tip Brush Point Liquid Eyeliner
Glossier

Never have I ever met a liquid eyeliner that’s so precise but doesn’t require a learning manual to use. The Glossier Pro Tip Brush Point Liquid Eyeliner is another well-priced item that lasts for months on end without drying out. It’s one of the fine-liners I’ll reach for on occasion, and its marker-like flick makes a natural-looking wing if you want one.

“This is an easy-to-use, brush-tip black liquid eyeliner that lets literally anyone apply like an expert,” Trillaud said. “The densely-pigmented, buildable formula dries quickly, doesn’t smudge, budge, or drag and stays put for up to 12 hours.”

The product has a unique internal ball shaker that lets the formula flow through evenly, too. While I can’t look inside the pen as a beauty tester, the mechanism makes sense because it doesn’t bleed or overflow.

Glossier Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen+

Glossier Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen+
Glossier

I’m going to give you the advice you’ve probably heard a million times from your dermatologist: you should be wearing sunscreen daily, even when you may not see the sun shining. To help you get there, Glossier’s Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen+ is a no-brainer to add to your cart.

“Lightweight and undetectable, this water-gel SPF 35 applies like a serum, with no greasy residue or white cast,” Trillaud said. “Invisible Shield helps prevent sun damage and sun burn, while neutralizing harmful free radicals.”

While I have fair skin, this product’s ability to apply without a white cast makes it a top bet for those with melanated skin. It has a pleasing, non-irritating scent and is noncomedogenic (meaning it won’t clog your pores).

Glossier Milky Oil Waterproof Makeup Remover

Glossier Milky Oil Waterproof Makeup Remover
Glossier

If you wear makeup often, you’ll need a good makeup remover. Glossier’s Milky Oil Waterproof Makeup Remover is the thoughtless grab that takes the day away (I had to say it, sorry for the beauty editorial cliché).

“This is a gentle makeup remover that melts away long-wearing and waterproof formulas, without needing to rub or tug the skin,” Trillaud said. “The perfectly-proportioned blend of micellar water and weightless oil create a dual-phase formula that easily dissolves makeup, while pro-vitamin B5 conditions so your skin feels soft and fresh after use.”

It comes in an easy-to-dispense bottle, too, which I like dabbing onto reusable cotton rounds for effortless removal.

Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask Soothing Face Treatment

Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask Soothing Face Treatment
Glossier

When I first applied the Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask Soothing Face Treatment, I thought, “where’s the mask? Is it even on?” Alas, it’s like your moisturizer but amped up a bit. It’ll sink into your skin in the best way possible, and you’ll soon become obsessed with its effects.

I’ve used a myriad of clay masks, sheet masks (and everything in between), and none have left my skin more glowing or balanced than this silky smooth-textured formula. Oh, and if you struggle with acne scars and uneven texture, this is your righthand product.

“A creamy, dreamy, quenches-all-skin-types face mask,” Trillaud said. “Sweet almond oil, plant-based squalane and hyaluronic acid seriously boost skin’s hydration for brighter, glowier, softer-looking skin.”

Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy Pack Detoxifying Face Mask

Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy Pack Detoxifying Face Mask
Glossier

Meet your feel-good skin refresh: the Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy Pack Detoxifying Face Mask. For the price, it wears many dolloped hats, from sensitive skin-friendly exfoliation to nourishment and balancing. It’s like superfood, but for your face — and it tightens a bit, but isn’t as restricting as some other clay masks I’ve tried.

“This is a deeply cleansing and detoxifying mask that brings skin back to balance, addressing the appearance of pores, shine and impurities,” Trillaud said. “Creamy white kaolin clay gently cleanses while vitamin-rich leafy greens and super-fruit antioxidants nourish like a green juice for your skin.”

In my opinion, the brand’s Moisturizing Moon Mask Soothing Face Treatment is a bit more suitable to use a few times a week, while this one is a great once-in-awhile product. Either way, face masks are the perfect element of self care, so I would 100% invest in both of these for your next Glossier shopping spree (which should be today).

Glossier You Eau Eau de Parfum

Glossier You Eau Eau de Parfum
Glossier

The New York Post Shopping team has reviewed the Glossier You Eau Eau de Parfum after its viral spark in summer of last year.

“It’s not one of those perfumes you wear to become someone else. Mostly, it smells like you. Soft, warm, familiar,” read the product description. “We designed everything about it to feel open ended, like it’ll grow with you no matter where you are in your personal evolution. This is not a finished product. It needs you.”

Trillaud described the scent as “a simple equation of relatively few notes. Particularly base notes, which last the longest and stay closest to you skin, letting you shine through.” That said, it’s supposed to smell like you, familiar and comforting but elevated.

The perfume surprised me with how well it transcends age groups. I love it, my mom loves it and it even appeals to the older crowd. Consider it Chanel No, 5, but more affordable.

Glossier G Suit Soft Touch Lip Crème

Glossier G Suit Soft Touch Lip Crème
Glossier

If you love matte colors, you’ll love the Glossier G Suit Soft Touch Lip Crème. Truthfully, it’s not my favorite the brand has to offer (I prefer the Ultralip), but it’s a wonderful color to apply before a clear gloss or after your favorite nude lipstick to blend shades.

“The luxurious formula floats over lips and remains comfortable and flexible throughout wear, while a rich emollient oil blend keeps pigment from sinking into lips for a smooth, soft-focus effect,” Trillaud said. “Rose wax silicia provides a soft-touch, petal-like feel during application, while smoothing orchid complex helps smooth the look of lips for a pillowy after-effect.”

It’s the quickest toss-in for your work tote, too (and exactly where mine lives, FYI).

Glossier Haloscope Dew Effect Highlighter

Glossier Haloscope Dew Effect Highlighter
Glossier

When I first unboxed the Glossier Haloscope Dew Effect Highlighter, it didn’t look like it had a dreamy glow or even a hydrating application. But, when I swiped it upward at the apples of my cheeks, I understood the glamor and clamor: it thoughtfully exhibits that skin-first glow, void of sparkle and shine.

I know what you’re thinking, why buy a $22 highlighter without sparkle? I get it — you want to feel some kind of noticeable impact. But the beauty in this stick applicator is its versatility. It’s a product I have grown to love using, and a hidden gem in Glossier’s trove.

“This is a crystal-infused highlighter. Yes, literal crystals, with skin-conditioning benefits that leave you glow-y and glazed all day. Never glittery,” Trillaud said. “The solid, oil-based inner core is made from vitamin-rich moisturizers that adds a dewy finish to skin, while the halo outer core contains genuine powdered crystals for a lit-from-within look.”

Glossier Lip Gloss

Glossier Lip Gloss
Glossier

Fifteen dollars has never looked so good. The Glossier Lip Gloss offers a luscious luster that you’ll want to wear by itself or layered atop your signature lippie shades, and its juicy vibe is somewhat similar to tarte’s Maracuja line, although with a bit more of a natural, iridescent look.

“This is a comfortable lip gloss with a glassy finish and no stickiness,” Trllaud said. “The fuzzy doe-foot applicator gives lips instant shine in just one swipe and delivers a double dose of vitamin E and jojoba oil to keep lips cushion-soft and moisturized.”

Oh, and it’s the most compact yet *fabulous* shine solution you’ll own.

Glossier Lidstar Glistening Eye Glow

Glossier Lidstar Glistening Eye Glow
Glossier

When I first used the Glossier Lidstar Glistening Eye Glow, I thought I was using glitter eyeliner (you know, a type of beauty product reserved for celebrity makeup artists and advanced professionals). But the secret is this: it’s a truly universal, dab-and-go product that offers a beginner-friendly way to add some additional shimmer.

“This soft, glistening eyeshadow creates a sheer, shimmering veil of color, locking onto lids and lasting all day without creasing,” Trillaud said. “Ultra-fine pigments float through a buttery base for a silky, blendable formula that swipes on seamlessly and maintains its pretty, glistening look long after it settles.”

My favorite shades include “Herb” (dreamy for hazel and light brown eyes, especially) and “Moon” (a beginner-friendly, nude-peach shade).

Glossier Monochromes Essential Eyeshadow Trio

Glossier Monochromes Essential Eyeshadow Trio
Glossier

First things first, if you want heavy pigment, the Glossier Monochromes Essential Eyeshadow Trio isn’t for you. Instead, this easy-to-mix triplet of colors is ready for your day-to-night look, all encased in a portable, compact palette.

“A refillable monochromatic eyeshadow trio in three buildable powder finishes, matte, satin, metallic, is what makes the Glossier Monochromes Essential Eyeshadow Trio stand out,” Trillaud said. “Each finish glides on smooth with minimal fallout or creasing, and can be worn alone or together for monochromatic dimension and choose-your-own-adventure intensity.”

While I do wish the sparkle colors had a bit more oomph, the palette is suited for the gal who doesn’t want to think about applying eyeshadow.

Glossier Eyeshadow Brush

Glossier Eyeshadow Brush
Glossier

Sometimes, eyeshadow brushes don’t make a world of a difference when you’re applying shades. This one does.

“This is a dual-ended eyeshadow brush specially designed to work with monochromes, but plays nicely with other powder palettes,” Trillaud said. “The shader side expertly picks up and holds just-the-right-amount of product so it’s easy to apply and build up your look.”

As for the blender side, it’s rounded and fluffy (just what we love for applying to the crease), so it’s ideal for blending out pigment evenly all over lids and into contours and creases of the eye.

Glossier Deodorant Smooth-Glide Odor Defense

Glossier Deodorant Smooth-Glide Odor Defense
Glossier

“Refillable, pit-friendly and aluminum-free, our deodorant features a skin-conditioning coconut oil base and moisturizing ingredients like superfruit elderberry extract, magnesium hydroxide and potato starch that keep you smelling great and feeling dry all day,” Trillaud said. “Formulated without aluminum, baking soda, exfoliating acids or water,” all things that can cause bad odor, disrupt the skin’s pH level and cause irritation, “our deodorant keeps it gentle but mighty with ingredients that work for every underarm.”

I will say, this product is pretty expensive for your run-of-the-mill natural deodorant. However, if you’re keen on trying a body hygiene product from a beauty-first brand, I’d say give it a go.

Glossier Scented Candles

Glossier Scented Candles
Glossier

Yes, Glossier sells candles, and they should be on every beauty lover’s desk.

“Now your favorite room can wear Glossier too. Light up and wind down with one or both of our signature scents,” Trillaud said. “Glossier You has the same scent as our best-selling fragrance, with notes of pink pepper, fresh Irish and woody ambrette to bring comfort and warmth to your space.”

Orange Blossom Neroli is the hallmark of its Body Hero Collection, featuring neroli and pear, and balanced with aromatic citrus and cypress. I personally love this one more (and not just because it maintains that signature “Glossier Pink” aesthetic).

Glossier The Beauty Bag

Glossier The Beauty Bag
Glossier

Of course, you need the Instagram-worthy makeup bag from Glossier — aptly named The Beauty Bag — to hold all of your goodies. While it’s not a makeup product per se and didn’t go through dozens of formulation and swatch tests like the beauty items on this list, ignoring it would be a sin.

“This bag is the ultimate home for your beauty routine,” Trillaud said. “It’s tall enough to fit all of your essentials, even full-size skincare, but still easily slips into your tote.”

Glossier Original Pink Hoodie

Glossier Original Pink Hoodie
Glossier

Just purchase this. We need more Glossier Groupies.

“Our Original Pink Hoodie comes with all the special comfy touches. Plush material, pillow-soft fleecy inside, metal-tipped drawstrings and a relaxed, oversized fit. Generous and long, we recommend taking your true size,” Trillaud said.

Inside Glossier: An Exclusive Interview with the Brand

Glossier Review
Victoria Giardina

We had the luxury of interviewing the Glossier team. Here’s the 411, exclusively for New York Post Shopping readers.

How did Glossier get its start?

The blog Into The Gloss, founded in 2010, became the springboard for the brand’s launch in 2014 when founder Emily Weiss realized that beauty shouldn’t be built by men in a boardroom — it should be built by the people wearing it.

“We like to think we’re in year 9 of building a 100-year brand,” Trillaud told The Post. “Looking to the future of Glossier, we continue to focus on what makes us uniquely Glossier while evolving based on community feedback as a people-powered brand.”

The book “Glossy” references Glossier as being a beauty trailblazer. What makes it unique?

“We believe in thoughtful design and cultivating conversations,” Trillaud said. “It’s at the core of everything we do. The starting point of all our makeup, skincare, body care and fragrance products. At Glossier, beauty is about celebrating freedom of expression, individuality and having fun.”

Glossier’s vision is to change how the world sees beauty, and the brand knows it can’t do that without also disrupting the industry itself.

“Since 2020, we’ve partnered with over 30 founders leading 26 innovative beauty brands through our Grant Program for Black-Owned Beauty Businesses, and this year we expanded the program to the UK,” she said. “In this program, we provide grant funding, curated business programming and resources with these inspiring founders. Alumni grantees have gone onto national wholesale distribution deals, “Shark Tank” appearances and have won awards ranging from “Time” magazine’s Invention of the Year to “Allure”’s Best of Beauty.”

What is Glossier’s target demographic?

“Glossier is about a mindset, rather than a demographic,” Trillaud said. “It’s about feeling good and belonging in beauty. We provide everyday essential products whether you don’t wear make up or want a full face of glam!”

What’s something the brand is excited about?

“We’re proud and excited about one of our most recent launches. Stretch Foundation, a stunning, light to medium coverage buildable foundation made with 89 percent skincare, 11 percent pigment base in 32 stunning shades,” Trillaud said. “We brought this launch to life through our long-running partnership with the WNBA, spotlighting six incredible athletes as they ‘stretch’ through their different roles, responsibilities and identities.”
