Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s rocky romance has come to an end.
The reality TV stars, parents of three young children, broke up over the holiday weekend — a decision she made after Disick’s years of partying and broken promises, according to E! News, the news branch of the network that airs “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
“Kourtney has always taken Scott back and been by his side, but now with three kids it has gotten old,” a source told the website. “Kourtney has to do what’s best for the kids.”
Rumors of discord have surrounded the couple for much of 2015. In March, Disick checked himself into a Costa Rican rehab facility, only to leave a week later.
Speculation has only picked up since then, with the 32-year-old being snapped getting cozy with a woman who was not his longtime partner days ago, while Kardashian, 36, was at home in California with the kids.
“Scott has been running around saying he’s single,” a source is quoted as saying. “Kourtney dumped him after she saw the pics [in Monte Carlo] and he hasn’t been home after a month-long party binge.”
The former couple, who had been together for roughly nine years, welcomed their third child together, son Reign Aston Disick, in December. They also share son Mason, 5, and daughter Penelope, who turns 3 years old on Wednesday.
Disick has been noticeably absent from family outings including Easter Sunday services as well as a family trip to Disneyland to celebrate Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s daughter North’s second birthday.
Perhaps last summer’s stay in the Hamptons was a precursor of things to come for the couple. Reality cameras captured Kourtney kicking Disick out of the house because of his partying ways.
A rep for Kourtney did not immediately return a request for comment.
