Freedom has never looked so good.
On Thursday, Kelly Ripa made quite the fashion statement as she emerged from her apartment in a varsity jacket with “Freedom” etched on the back, one day ahead of Michael Strahan‘s final show on “Live! With Kelly and Michael.”
Ripa, 45, who paired the telling piece with dark jeans sans a smile, toted what looked to be a script as she made her way into a waiting SUV.
While Strahan, 44, and girlfriend Kayla Quick, 27, looked ready to toast his impending departure Wednesday night, it also happened to be the same day Ripa’s take on the daytime drama hit newsstands.
“There’s part of me that can say, ‘OK, I understand. This may have been an oversight.’ And again, after 26 years, at this point we are like a family,” she told People. “And sometimes when you’re so comfortable with somebody, you may not give them the same consideration as somebody you’re not as comfortable with — a certain formality falls away.”
