Only at a premiere for new Discovery documentary “Rats” would the guest speaker be an exterminator.
At the debut of the new Morgan Spurlock “horrormentary” about the pests — that’s based on the best-selling book by Robert Sullivan — was Brooklyn-based critter buster Edward Sheehan of Colony Pest Management.
Sheehan told the crowd at the upscale Roxy Hotel Cinema in Tribeca, a spy said, “that people need to realize that eradication isn’t going to happen . . . We need to figure out how we can have a symbiotic relationship with [New York’s rats].”
Sheehan added that while his job might be seen as undesirable by some, “it sure as hell beats working in a bank.”
Spurlock’s doc airs Saturday.
