Amanda Bynes says she’s been sober for three years

Five years after her life began to spiral out of control, Amanda Bynes she’s clean and sober — and ready to get back to work.

Speaking publicly for the first time in four years, the “She’s the Man” actress said she’s been sober for three years and that her train-wreck days of bong-tossing and bizarre tweets are long behind her.

“I do miss acting and I have something surprising to tell you: I’m going to start acting again,” Bynes told Hollyscoop in an interview previewed on “Good Morning America” Friday. “I want to do TV. Maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I’m a fan of and maybe another TV show where I’m the star of it.”

Bynes’ acting career was sidelined following a series of arrests, drivers license suspensions and stints in rehab and psych wards.

In 2012, the “All That” star was nabbed for two hit-and-runs and a DUI. A year later, she was arrested in 2013 for throwing a bong out of the window of her 36th-floor apartment in Manhattan, charges which were later dismissed.

Her increasingly troubling behavior — including disturbing Twitter rants about her father — eventually landed her in the hospital on an involuntary psychiatric hold.

Now, Bynes, 31, says she’s going to school at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and plans to launch her own line.

“I learned how to sew. I make patterns and I want to start a clothing line in the future,” Bynes explained.

She said she’s staying “very realistic” about her career goals and plans to “take it step by step.”
