Speidi didn’t fall for Sacha Baron Cohen’s prank

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt want to be famous again, but they won’t be in Sacha Baron Cohen‘s new movie.

Pratt, 34, tweeted an email he received from a production company that wanted him and Montag, 31, to participate in a project that made Pratt immediately think it was the work of Cohen, 46.

“How last minute and urgent the project seemed was def suspect,” Pratt told Page Six on Wednesday. “[We] didn’t wanna any extra stress on HEIDI and the baby. Wish we had at least tried now knowing it was him! [sic]”

We previously reported that “RHOC” alums Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley fell for the same prank after responding to an email from a production company “doing [a] series for Israel that’s all about…security and protecting yourself as an American celebrity.”

“The second we walk through the door there’s two Mossad agents holding guns to each other’s heads,” Rossi told us. “They punked us for four-and-a-half hours! You would not believe the stuff they were asking us to do — the weirdest, creepiest, funniest stuff, but at the time it wasn’t funny. We literally thought they were going to kill Slade!”

“I was freaked out. I was crying — I was hysterical coming home,” she said. “I’m sure they were laughing their asses off!”

O.J. Simpson is also in the new project, as it was recently reported that Cohen paid him more than $20,000 for his appearance.

Cohen’s rep didn’t return our request for comment.
