Gisele Bündchen shares rare photo with 5 sisters and late mom on Mother’s Day: ‘She was an incredible role model’
Gisele Bündchen honored her late mom in a touching Instagram tribute for Mother’s Day.
“It’s still hard to say ‘mom’ without getting emotional,” the model captioned throwback photos with Vânia Nonnenmacher, as well as her five sisters.
“There is not a day that goes by that I don’t miss my Mom,” Bündchen, 43, continued. “My mother was an amazing human being who always helped everyone around her. … She was strong, loving, and compassionate. There was nothing she couldn’t do.”
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel went on to write that Nonnenmacher, who died in January at age 75, “was an incredible role model” for her and Patricia, Rafaela, Graziela, Raquela and Gabriela.
“Being a mom is the best, sometimes challenging but always a rewarding experience. I am forever grateful for my Mom’s guidance,” Bündchen gushed, before writing directly to her late parent.
“Mom, even though I can no longer feel your embrace I know you are always watching over our family and being our guiding light!” she concluded.
The businesswoman shares two children with her ex-husband, Tom Brady — son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11.
She has also regularly referred to herself as the “bonus mom” to the athlete’s 16-year-old son, Jack, with ex Bridget Moynahan.
Brady honored both women with his own Mother’s Day Instagram post over the weekend.
“Happy Mothers Day to these kind, caring, compassionate and POWERFUL moms that I’m lucky to have in my life,” the retired quarterback, 46, gushed. “None of this would be possible without your love ❤️❤️❤️.”
His social media slideshow included photos of Bündchen and Moynahan, 53, as well as his mom, Galynn Brady.
The carousel came one week after the former athlete’s exes were both name-dropped during “The Roast of Tom Brady” on Netflix.
Bündchen was reportedly “disappointed” by the “irresponsible” jokes about herself — and boyfriend Joaquim Valente — People reported after the May 5 special.
As for Moynahan, the “Blue Bloods” star re-posted a cryptic Instagram quote about “loyalty” after the live event.
The actress followed that up with an emotional upload about being “kind” but has yet to comment directly.
