Andrea Bocelli Recruits Shania Twain for Classical Take on Her Hit 'From This Moment On' for New Duets Album

Andrea Bocelli and Shania Twain are coming together for an unexpected collaboration.

The two artists released "Da Stanotte in Poi (From This Moment On)," a classical take on Twain's 1998 hit, on July 12 as the first single from Bocelli's upcoming Duets album, which is set to feature a slew of high-profile artists singing alongside the renowned Italian tenor.

Bocelli, 65, performs the song's first verse in his native language, before Twain, 58, enters to sing the chorus, and the two artists alternate lyrics throughout the song for an affecting rendition of the country pop ballad featuring simple instrumentation.

Set for an October 25 release, Bocelli's upcoming Duets album will feature newly recorded collaborations with Twain, Chris Stapleton, Gwen Stefani, Marc Anthony, Karol G, Sofia Carson, Lauren Daigle, Elisa, Matteo Bocelli and Hans Zimmer.

Additionally, the 32-track project includes previously released duets with Ed Sheeran, Céline Dion, Sarah Brightman, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez, Giorgia, Christina Aguilera, Ariana Grande, Virginia Bocelli and Luciano Pavarotti.

"To mix voices, mix the vibrations, is for me a very exciting experience, sensual and spiritual at the same time," says Andrea in a statement about Duets. "Something intimate and deep is established between the two voices that sing a duet. We singers are in constant search of colleagues able to give life to this alchemy."

In celebration of the album's announcement, Andrea will perform three concerts in his Lajatico, Italy, hometown on July 15, 17 and 19. The shows will feature a stacked lineup of guest musicians including Sheeran, Twain, Matteo, Virginia, Carson, Jon Batiste, Russell Crowe, Brian May, Johnny Depp, David Foster, Zucchero, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Lang Lang, Nadine Sierra, Eros Ramazzotti, Elisa and Laura Pausini, among others.

For those who can't get to Italy to see the performances, don't worry. The concerts — also held to commemorate Andrea's 30 years in the music industry — will be documented for an upcoming Sam Wrench-directed film, Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration, out this fall.

Andrea's career will also be chronicled in a separate forthcoming documentary, Andrea Bocelli: Because I Believe, coming later this year.
