Experience

She began her career working on the platforms team, writing for Pinterest, Snapchat, and Google before becoming a shopping writer. Since starting her career two years ago, Cai has spent over 200 hours testing products, including moisturizers, hair dryers, luggage, and back massagers, and has written, edited, and updated 150+ articles with an emphasis on health, beauty, and travel products.

She has a particular passion for skincare, which was sparked by her first job at a facial spa. Since then, Cai has tested hundreds of skincare products from high-end and drugstore brands, including Cerave, SkinCeuticals, Drunk Elephant, Youth to the People, M.A.C., and more. Cai also has a passion for the outdoors and personally tests hiking boots, running shoes, ski gear, yoga mats, and more gear when she visits her hometown in Boulder, Colorado.

Cai’s stories are informed by her conversations with experts, as well as in-depth interviews with celebrities like Shay Mitchell, Lily Collins, Rainn Wilson, and more. She loves to dig deep into the nitty gritty of any topic she covers and has a knack for in-depth research.
