A freelance writer in his spare time, David Chiu has penned numerous entertainment articles, mostly about popular music. His writings have been published in The New York Times, Billboard, Rolling Stone, Forbes, Pitchfork, Spin and others.

David Chiu graduated with a B.A. in media studies at Hunter College in New York City. He received his M.A. degree from the Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in New York City.
