Experience

Dhara began her career in beauty and fashion as a partnerships manager in affiliate marketing where she shared insights on brand launches, sales, and viral products with publishers and influencers. She then began working with South Asian New York Fashion Week where she created content for both their Instagram and TikTok, following trends and making informative and eye-catching posts while also helping the brand garner a following.

She brought that creative eye to PEOPLE.com in 2023 where she manages the editorial calendar and visual production pipeline for the shopping team. Here, she continues her passion for testing new products and is always on the lookout for fresh items, especially those with Ayurvedic ingredients. Being of South Asian descent, Dhara has an affinity for products rooted in her culture. She's particularly fond of testing products containing ingredients like turmeric, amla, ashwagandha, and new hair oils. She also loves skincare and is intrigued by how the products we evaluate perform on her medium-tan sensitive skin.

Dhara always has a finger on the pulse of the latest TikTok trends and has written about the Alo Yoga Airbrush Leggings and the Dr. Scholls Time-Off Lace-up Sneakers, both of which went viral on the social media platform.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her puppy, Java. She can often be found testing the latest and greatest products to improve the happiness, health, and safety of her pup, like the best dog DNA tests.
