Kimberlee Speakman has been a reporter for over 5 years and has worked at PEOPLE since 2022.

Before joining PEOPLE, Kimberlee worked as an entertainment and breaking news reporter at Forbes where she helped pioneer the publication's digital entertainment coverage and covered several high profile news like the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial and the investigation into the shooting on the set of Alec Baldwin's movie "Rust." Prior to this, she worked at a news station for 3 years, covering local news across the state of Hawaii.

In college, Kimberlee worked as a reporter at student run newspaper Ka Leo O Hawaii, where she worked her way up from a features writer, to opinion editor and eventually to managing editor. As managing editor, she oversaw major editorial decisions and set quality control across web and print content.
