After spending six years working at brands like Prevention, Woman's Day, and Business Insider in New York City, Nicol decided to leave the city life for island living.

She first joined PEOPLE in 2021 as a shopping writer. She has interviewed over 30 celebrities including Khloe Kardashian, Carrie Underwood, Venus Williams, and Hilary Duff about their lifestyles and favorite products. She’s also PEOPLE’s unofficial jeans expert — no denim trend goes unnoticed by her.

Today, Nicol lives a flexible lifestyle in Hawai’i where she writes, practices yoga, and adventures out in nature. Within her writing career, she’s most proud of her former wellness column, 3-Day Boost, in Prevention, her 2018 fellowship with the Association of Healthcare Journalists, and her personal wellness blog. As a yoga instructor, reiki master, and workshop and retreat space holder, Nicol’s offerings aim to inspire others to live more passionate, creative, and balanced lives.
