It’s hard to imagine it, but back in the 1970s girls had posters of this man decorating their bedroom walls.

If you squint, you can just about make out who it is under all that grey fuzz – it’s Paul Michael Glaser, better known as one half of TV’s Starsky and Hutch.

The former heartthrob, who’s 70, was photographed in the U.K. where he’s prepping to join the cast of the musical Fiddler on the Roof, playing the lead role of Tevye.

Glaser, who played David Starsky opposite David Soul’s Ken “Hutch” Hutchinson for four years, was more recently seen in the 2003 romantic comedy Something’s Gotta Give. He also had a cameo in Ben Stiller’s big screen remake of his hit show and guest roles in Ray Donovan and The Mentalist.

He has also been active in AIDS education and fundraising for three decades, after losing his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughter, Ariel, to AIDS-related illnesses.
