Jamie Foxx was determined to have a memorable entrance to his daughter Corinne Foxx’s wedding.

Corinne, 30, shared with Entertainment Tonight that she needed to curb some of her father’s requests for her wedding to fiancé Joe Hooten — one of which included a grand entry with the horse from his film Django Unchained.

“If I could just not get my dad to come down on a horse, I’ll be good,” she joked.

Corinne went on to share that The Burial actor, 56, will play a big role in her wedding with Hooten — especially since he’ll be carrying out the father of the bride duties.

“I’m a little worried about him walking me down the aisle. He’s gonna be crying for sure,” she admitted.

Corinne also noted that it was “inevitable” that he would get on the microphone sometime during her wedding reception, adding, “It has to happen.”

Amid the “stressful” wedding planning, the actress said she took a spa day to “relax.” Though she noted that she’s still putting out fires — including cutting down her father’s proposed guest list.

“[The wedding’s] gonna be a big one. When I asked my dad for his list, he told me he has 300 people alone. I said, ‘We’re gonna have to cut down,’ ” she recalled.

Elsewhere in the interview, Corinne detailed the moment when Hooten received the seal of approval from her dad.

The Beat Shazam star revealed that her father first became impressed with her fiancé after he helped her family through a scary experience while vacationing in Hawaii.

“[Joe] saved my entire family from drowning,” Corinne said. “We were on a snorkeling tour and none of my family knows how to swim. We’re all in the middle of the ocean.”

“Everyone starts drowning and one by one my fiance dived in and brought someone back in. Dived in and brought someone back in,” she recalled. “And my dad said, ‘He’s a keeper.’ ”

Corrine revealed on Instagram in December 2023 that Hooten popped the question. She shared the news alongside a series of black and white photographs showing the couple smiling and embracing on the deck of a boat after the proposal.

"From the first time I saw you, I knew you were my forever 💍❤️," Foxx captioned a series of black and white photographs from the special moment.

Though it's unclear how Corinne and Hooten's relationship began, the pair both attended the University of Southern California and met in 2018, according to Page Six.

Since then Corinne has shared several photos of her beau on social media including an Instagram photo of the pair at a horse stable, which she captioned, "Spent the weekend with a couple of studs 💕🐴🏔.” In another post in October, she showed the pair dressed in formal attire while looking lovingly at one another.
