Drag Queen Alexis Stone Nailed Every Detail in Uncanny Miranda Priestly Transformation for Balenciaga Show

Stone was instantly recognizable as Meryl Streep's iconic character from the 2006 film 'The Devil Wears Prada'

Miranda Priestly made a splash at Paris Fashion Week. Or rather, her doppelgänger did.

British makeup artist and drag queen Alexis Stone pulled off yet another jaw-dropping transformation, arriving to Balenciaga's Couture show as Meryl Streep's iconic character from the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada.

Stone turned heads at the Paris Fashion Week event dressed head to toe as the fictional magazine editor. She wore a taupe satin shirt with a pussy bow, a black pencil skirt and tan trench coat. For accessories, Stone added black tights, black pointed-toe slingback heels and black gloves.

Of course, Priestly's trademark sunglasses were also included, as was a replica of "the book," aka a mockup of the fictional magazine the character oversees. Stone carried the prop tucked under her arm, as the Streep does in her inaugural scene in the film.

But it was Stone's short, gray wig and impeccable prothetic makeup that sealed the deal. The recreation of Priestly's signature hairstyle and Steep's facial structure was a painstaking process, all of which was documented in a YouTube video released by the drag artist.

In the behind-the-scenes clip, Stone carefully lays the prosthetic pieces on her face before applying makeup over top. She puts on a corset before slipping into costume and attaching the wig. The video ends with Stone walking out into the streets of Paris swarmed by photographers and onlookers who appear gobsmacked by her transformation.

Stone has become known for her uncanny transformations into widely recognized female celebrities. In the past, she's donned realistic getups to embody megastars like Barbra Streisand, Jessica Lange and Lana Del Rey. In February 2023, she transformed into Jennifer Coolidge during Milan Fashion Week. Using makeup and prosthetics, she perfectly replicated the actress' signature facial expressions and mannerisms.

Stone walked the red carpet as Coolidge in a full Diesel outfit consisting of metallic cargo jeans, a matching metallic biker jacket, a shimmering blue Diesel logo-embossed top, pointed-toe heels and the brand's viral 1DR bag.

At the show, Stone was seated next to Haley Lu Richardson, who starred in the second season of The White Lotus alongside Coolidge. In the anthology series, Richardson played Portia, the personal assistant of Coolidge's character, Tanya McQuoid.
