Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus Are Dubious About a Seinfeld Reunion: 'No One Called'

Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus are openly clueless about the status of a Seinfeld reunion.

Alexander — who was nominated for seven Emmys for his portrayal of George Costanza during the NBC sitcom's nine-seasons run — confessed he was in the dark even though creator and star Jerry Seinfeld has alluded there was a project in the works. 

“I don’t know anything about it,” Alexander told Extra, referencing Seinfeld’s Boston standup set where he teased the series’ possible return. “No one called me. Apparently, they don’t need George.”

And Alexander claimed he's not the only one who hasn't been called. 

"They may not need Elaine, because Julia and I went, 'Do you know anything about this? I don't know anything about this,'” he added. “And I just talked to Michael [Richards] the other day and I don't think he knew anything about it.”

Louis-Dreyfus, 62, also told The Guardian in October of Seinfeld: "I don't know what the hell he's talking about."

Twenty-five years after the show ended in 1998, its namesake comic sparked speculation about a potential revival during a standup set in October when an audience member asked Seinfeld, 69, if he "liked the ending."

"The ending. Of the show? Well, I have a little secret for you about the ending. But I can't really tell it, 'cause it is a secret," he teased.

"Here's what I'll tell you, OK? But you can't tell anybody," he continued. "Something is going to happen with that ending — it hasn't happened yet."

After the audience broke out in applause and cheers, he added, "And just what you have been thinking about, Larry [David] and I have been thinking about. So you'll see."
