Talk about twinning!

Jude Law, who is currently doing rounds of press for his new film Firebrand (in which he plays Henry VIII opposite Alicia Vikander, who plays his sixth wife Catherine Parr) changed his look up for the film by growing a big bushy beard — as well as a prosthetic belly.

But when not in character, Law, 51, still pretty much looks exactly like he did when he first broke out in America with his role in The Talented Mr. Ripley, which came out in 1999.

"I look back on that film now, it's strange to think it was 25 years ago," Law recently told PEOPLE. "My eldest son Rafferty is 27, and I wasn't much older than he is. I think I was the same age, actually."

He's correct — Law was also 27, and the physical resemblance between the two of them at the same age is remarkably uncanny.

Rafferty, who has been a model, is also an actor just like dad, most recently starred in Masters of Air.

"He's really good," Law says of his son's acting chops. "I loved him in that show."

On his end, Raff has said that having famous parents has for the most part been a blessing as he carves his path in the entertainment business.

"I think there have been advantages and disadvantages to it," Rafferty has said about his famous parents: Law, 51, and Sadie Frost.

He added that he's not just waiting for roles to get handed to him: "I've always focused on pursuing the things I love and proving to people that I'm hardworking."

Meanwhile, when Law was 27, he suddenly became a sensation in the U.S. after the success of The Talented Mr. Ripley, which he starred in alongside Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow.

He says the role changed his life in numerous ways.

"I think there was an attention suddenly, to choices I was making, who was I working with," he says of going from a theater actor who sometimes starred on British TV shows to being thrust into the A-list movie star world.

"Suddenly people cared about what was going on in my private life too," he says. "All of that was quite a lot to have happen at once. I look back and I'm really proud. I think I handled it pretty well."
