Kardashian Family Shares a Glimpse Inside Their ‘Competitive’ Christmas Decorating and Argues Who Has the ‘Best’ Gift Wrap

The Kardashian-Jenners are sharing an inside look at their extravagant Christmas festivities! 

During a June 27 episode of The Kardashians, viewers get to see some behind-the-scenes footage of Kim Kardashian's over-the-top party planning as she prepares to host her family’s annual Christmas Eve bash. The exclusive event has been hosted by the family since the ‘70s and attracts a star-studded guest list each year. 

“I’m in the middle of planning Christmas Eve with Mindy Weiss — the official Kardashian-Jenner party planner,” Kim explains. “I just have a full white Christmas vision,” she continues, noting that she wants to have a mix of real and fake snow cover her entire Hidden Hills abode. 

The scene then cuts to a confessional clip of the family matriarch, Kris Jenner, opening up about how Kim has turned holiday decorating into a competition over the years. 

“Kim kind of sets the bar really high, which has really made us a lot more creative — but competitive,” she adds with a smile. 

All five sisters — including Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Kim — then have their own confessionals where they hash out who has the best wrapping paper this year. 

“The last few years, my mom just copies what I do the year before but changes the color,” Kim says.  

“Kim’s ridiculous,” Khloé cuts in. “Her wrapping this year… I mean, they were cotton jersey T-shirts. Like whatever you’re trying to claim, you’re recycling? But it was better than the year she used velcro for everything.”

Kourtney explains that hers is “always better” because she uses “recycled wrapping paper,” followed by Kylie adding in her two cents: “I think the best wrapping paper is between me or Kendall. Always. Period.” 

Meanwhile, Kendall says she’s “not competitive about s---,” before adding, “I just know that my wrapping is the best.”

Later in the episode, Kim opens up about a “frustrating” issue she might have to deal with as a result of some unexpected L.A. rain.

“It is starting to pour in L.A. — torrential rains,” she explains. “If it’s raining this close up to Christmas Eve there’s no way that they can bring in the real snow, and that would ruin the party.” 

Kim continues, “So it’s very frustrating. I’m just praying. As much as I want there to be rain in California, I've got to think of something else fast. So I'm freaking out.”

 On the day of the actual party, Kim is pleased to see clear skies. 

"We had no rain issues. It is a full winter wonderland here,” she says.

Scenes of her fully decorated home reveal every single inch of the property — from the grass to the trees — covered in glistening snow. Gingerbread house-themed decorations offer a warm escape inside her abode as guests start to arrive.

“We are so excited,” Khloé says. “This is literally what we look forward to all year round.”
