A Mississippi man has admitted to killing and dismembering another man at an RV park laundromat in 2020, claiming he planned to take the victim’s body to a casino to have it reattached.

Clint Barrett Brower, 45, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder on Monday, June 3, to the 2020 killing of Micah Harrington, 41, at a laundromat at an RV park in Biloxi, Miss., on May 26, 2020, the Sun Herald, WXXV 25 and WLOX report.

Brower said he went to the laundromat to do his laundry when he killed Harrington after the victim walked in, per the Sun Herald. The two did not know each other, according to WLOX.

In surveillance footage reviewed by authorities, Brower is seen walking up to Harrington while the victim was doing his laundry and briefly speaking with him before fatally stabbing him, WXXV 24 reports.

He stabbed Harrington more than 30 times, according to an autopsy cited by the outlet.

“I took the knife and killed him,” Brower admitted in court, per WLOX.

Brower said he does not recall the conversation but said he suddenly felt threatened by the victim and drew a large butcher knife from his bag and killed him, the Sun Herald reports.

The attack left Harrington partially dismembered, per WLOX and the Sun Herald

Brower, who suffers from a mental illness that was not specified in the published reports, said he then bound Harrington with a rope and dragged Harrington’s corpse out of the laundromat with the plan to take it to a casino, where he hoped someone would “put [Harrington] back together,” prosecutors said, according to WLOX.

Michael Crosby, Brower’s attorney, has said this was a reflection of the severity of Brower’s mental illness, per the Sun Herald

In court, Brower apologized to Harrington's daughter Micara Harrington before he was sentenced, the outlet reports.

Following the murder, Micara spoke to WLOX about her grief.

“It’s demented. It’s not even human," she said at the time. "He’s not even human. He’s a monster."

The RV park, where both Brower and the victim lived, was left in shock as well.

A resident told WXXV 25 at the time that Brower was “failed” by the system.

“It’s just one of those things that the system failed one individual and that’s all it is,” William Petty told the outlet,

“He needed more psychiatric help," Petty added. "I believe that’s the issue and he just didn’t get it.”

Brower has been sentenced to life in prison, per the Sun Herald, WXXV 25 and WLOX.
