Before exploring journalism and podcasting, Michael began writing movies at age 13. His screenplay, "Worthy of Gold," won the Austin Film Festival and WorldFest Houston, and for two consecutive years, achieved standings in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting.
