Millie Bobby Brown has her wedding plans in motion!

During an interview with Access Online on Thursday, Matthew Modine revealed he’ll be officiating the upcoming nuptials for his Stranger Things costar, 20 and her fiancé Jake Bongiovi. The 64-year-old actor, who plays antagonist Dr. Martin Brenner on the Netflix series, said he’s happy to help Brown on her big day.

“I have one of those licenses to get people married and Millie thought it’d be great and then Jake said it would be a great idea, so I wrote the wedding vows and they loved what I wrote for them to join hands and to become husband and wife,” he told hosts Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover.

Modine also shared that he’d previously officiated one other wedding during COVID, but it was “weird.”

“It’s such a beautiful thing to be able to join two people in holy matrimony,” he said, noting that he himself has been married for 44 years.

During a Feb. 29 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Damsel actress dished on how Bongiovi, the son of rocker Jon Bon Jovi, made the proposal one to remember.

According to Brown, both she and her fiancé, 21, love to go diving together, and had been on vacation when he popped the question

After telling Fallon, 49, that she saved the story just for his show, she explained that Bongiovi planned an 8 a.m. dive that she almost opted out of.

“He’s telling me, ‘We’re going to the same spot we usually go to,'" Brown said. “I’m like, ‘It’s boring, let’s go somewhere new.’ He’s like, ‘No, we have to go to this spot,’” she recalled.

Once the couple was underwater, her beau pulled out all the stops!

“He gives me like a shell and I like, turn it over and it’s a ring,” she recalled.  “And I like, looked at him and he was like,” Brown said as she jokingly tried to imitate their underwater conversation.

Unable to give him an answer below the surface, they both tried to swim back up, however, Brown admitted that with all of the excitement, she accidentally dropped the engagement ring.

She quipped that the jewel plummeted “so fast, it was like a cinematic movie.”

Eventually, he was able to recover and the pair have been officially engaged since April 2023.

When Brown celebrated her 20th birthday in mid-February, Bongiovi shared a sweet social media post praising her.

"Happy birthday my beautiful fiancé [sic]. I love you so much. Big year ahead 🤍," Bongiovi wrote on Instagram, seemingly eluding to their wedding day.
