'The Addams Family Values Cast:' Where Are They Now?

Christina Ricci as Wednesday Addams

From daughter to mother! The Internet went wild when a photoshopped image of Christina Ricci — who played Wednesday Addams — circulated of her as Morticia. Though the image was fake, Ricci, 42, does have one similarity to Morticia — she's a Mom! Ricci told PEOPLE that she is "a completely different person" than before she gave birth, though she does have fond memories of her days as a child actor.

"I don't have a favorite [film] of all time," Ricci told PEOPLE. "I've had some incredible experiences and loved working as a child. I have to say The Addams Family movies were two really really — they were like glory days for me as a 10 and 12-year-old."

These days, you can find Ricci on the critically acclaimed Yellowjackets, and as a new character on the new Addams-inspired Netflix hit, Wednesday.

Anjelica Huston as Morticia Addams

Anjelica Huston was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as Morticia, the family matriarch. The Academy Award-winning actress, now 71, said in her 2014 memoir Watch Me that she thought Cher, a friend of hers, would have been a logical first choice for Morticia.

Since Addams Family Values, Huston has stepped behind the camera as a director, while maintaining a steady stream of acting roles, including numerous Wes Anderson films and John Wick: Chapter 3.

Raúl Juliá as Gomez Addams

Addams Family Values was Raúl Juliá's final film to be released in his lifetime. The Puerto Rican actor, who'd been working since the 1950s and played family patriarch Gomez, died on October 24, 1994 due to terminal complications from a stroke. He was 54.

Christopher Lloyd as Uncle Fester

Christopher Lloyd was always a big fan of the Uncle Fester. The Back to the Future actor told Buzzfeed in 2013, "Every time the magazine came in with Charles Addams' cartoons, I'd open it up, hoping there'd be one with Uncle Fester. He just always appealed to me, his whole persona."

Lloyd, at 6'1", had to bend his knees to look shorter.

"It worked out well because it gave me kind of a funny walk," Lloyd, now 84, told Buzzfeed.

Even in his fifth decade as an actor, Lloyd has shown no signs of slowing down, appearing in the TV adaptation of 12 Monkeys and in 2021's The Tender Bar. He also reunited with Back to the Future costar Michael J. Fox at a Comic-Con event in October 2022.

Joan Cusack as Debbie Jellinsky

Though she played Debbie Jellinsky, a serial killer who murdered her husbands to steal their fortunes, Joan Cusack's love life has been much more stable. The two-time Academy Award nominee, 60, has been married to attorney Richard Burke since 1996.

While she never got her ballerina Barbie, Cusack can at least settle for playing toy cowgirl Jessie in Toy Story 4. More recently, she appeared on the 2020 series Homecoming.

Jimmy Workman as Puglsey Addams

When Jimmy Workman turned 18, he gained access to a trust holding his Addams family earnings.

"I went through a stage where I went buck wild," Workman, 42, told PEOPLE in 2001. "I got all my partying out [of my system]."

He recalled having a "blast" on set with co-star Christina Ricci. "We used to chase each other around and drive golf carts all over the lot. We also argued like brother and sister."

Workman went on to appear in films such as As Good As It Gets and The Biggest Fan, but is now retired from acting. His younger sibling, Ariel Winter — known for her role as Alex on Modern Family — carries on that mantle.

Carol Kane as Granny

Though Carol Kane may be recognized nowadays for her role as Lillian Kaushtupper, the landlord on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, she was a new face to Addams Family Values, replacing Judith Malina as Granny. Even then, she was a bit of a comedy staple, having appeared alongside Billy Crystal in The Princess Bride and winning two Emmys for her role on Taxi. Kane, 70, told Parade in 2013 that the most difficult part of Addams Family Values was the floor-length wig.

"That wig was amazing. It weighed I think five pounds and it was down to my feet," Kane said. "In every other way, it was delightful and wonderful to be part of, but physically, it's very challenging for pretty much all of us. It was an exercise, but it was also a joy."

Carel Struycken as Lurch

Carel Struycken's popularity was already on the rise before he appeared as Lurch. He had previously appeared as Mr. Homn on Star Trek: The Next Generation and The Giant on Twin Peaks. His height is due to a disorder called acromegaly, which results in the body producing too many growth hormones.

The Dutch actor, 74, is still working today, having most recently appeared in the Stephen King adaptation Gerald's Game and 2022's Class of '85.
