It's time! Police officers marched along the procession route in central London as King Charles III's coronation festivities began on May 6.

Meanwhile, guards marched past Buckingham Palace in step.

Fans who'd been waiting all week to catch a glimpse of the royal family finally had their moment.

At Westminster Abbey, guests filed in to find their seats.

A-list attendees included Lionel Richie, who is performing at Sunday's coronation concert.

Also there: his fellow American Idol judge and concert co-headliner, Katy Perry, wearing Vivienne Westwood bespoke.

Dame Emma Thompson waved to the crowd outside the Abbey.

Former U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson attended with his wife, Carrie.

First Lady Jill Biden represented the United States, along with her granddaughter, Finnegan Biden, who wore Markarian.

King Letsie III of Lesotho and Masenate Mohato Seeiso, Queen of Lesotho, arrived in regal shades of blue.

Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended hand-in-hand with wife Sophie.

Monaco's royals, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene, made their entrance.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain stood out in their bright hues.

Australian singer Nick Cave donned a black suit for the occasion.

Royals including Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, made their entrance in royal regalia.

Princess Anne donned her meaningful garb for the big day.

Prince Andrew was also in attendance, despite leaving public royal duties.

Prince Harry (in Dior) arrived with a smile, alongside his cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and their husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank, as well as cousins Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips and Zara's husband, Mike Tindall.

Princess Eugenie cloaked her growing baby bump (she's expecting No. 2!) in royal blue.

Kate's mom Carole Middleton was also in attendance, as well as her father Michael.

Kate's siblings, James and Pippa Middleton, also attended.

Laura Lopes, Queen Camilla's daughter, was one of the many family members in attendance.

Camilla's former husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, was also present.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium chose pink for the day.

Thailand's royals, King Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida, made their entrance arm-in-arm.

Grecian royals Queen Anne-Marie, Crown Prince Pavlos and Marie-Chantal, Crown Princess — who wore Mary Katrantzou — stepped out in blues.

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands were also in attendance.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark made their entrance in bold hues.

Rounding out the visiting royals: Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden and his daughter, Crown Princess Victoria.

French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, also joined.

And they're off! King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort, began their carriage ride from Buckingham Palace to Wesminster Abbey.

Despite the rain, thousands lined the streets as the procession made its way.

Charles waved to the crowd from his seat in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach, a horse-drawn carriage that was commissioned to commemorate Queen Elizabeth's 60th anniversary of acceding the throne in 2012. Six horses — Windsor Greys — pulled the coach on the way to the coronation: Icon, Shadow, Milford Haven, Echo, Knightsbridge and Tyrone.

Camilla wore a dress designed by Bruce Oldfield and created in the designer's couture workrooms in Battersea, London.

The archbishop waited for the king and queen outside the Abbey.

Charles made his arrival, showcasing his coronation robe.

Prince George stepped into his role as a Page of Honor for his grandfather. The 9-year-old was dressed in uniform along with the other pages at the celebration.

Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis followed their mom and dad, the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Kate didn't wear a tiara for the coronation, but rather, a Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen headpiece with silver bullion, crystal and silver thread work three-dimensional leaf embroidery. (Princess Charlotte wore a similar piece!)

Prince William knelt before his father in an emotional coronation moment.

The King is crowned.

The Prince of Wales, heir to the British throne, pledged his loyalty and allegiance to the monarch during the historic crowning ceremony at Westminster Abbey on Saturday.

Speaking to his father, William said, "I, William, Prince of Wales, pledge my loyalty to you and faith and truth I will bear unto you, as your liege man of life and limb. So help me God."

British politician Penny Mordaunt was the first-ever woman to perform the traditional exchanges of the Sword of State and the Jewelled Sword of Offering. Holding the artifact, she walked ahead of the king for the remainder of the ceremony.

William placed a kiss on his father's cheek following the crowning.

Next was Queen Camilla's turn.

Camilla smiled while officially taking her title.

The newly crowned king took a pause following his historic moment.

And with that, the royals began to depart.

King Charles walked out of the Abbey as the royal family watched and Kate curtsied.

Will and Kate led Charlotte and Louis out of the Abbey.

The Prince and Princess of Wales wowed in their official regalia.

The king headed back to Buckingham Palace in the Gold State Coach, which has been the traditional mode of post-coronation transportation since King William IV was crowned in 1831.

It took several horses to tote the weighty carriage.

What rain? The 1.3-mile procession kicked off as revelers along the streets celebrated their new king and queen.

They were followed by Prince William, Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Meanwhile, Harry exited the ceremony alongside his cousins. The prince left London shortly after to be with his son, Prince Archie, for his 4th birthday.

Princess Anne took part in the Coronation Procession following the crowning ceremony as the "Gold-Stick-in-Waiting." The prestigious position, which Princess Anne has held since 1998, dates back to the 15th century when two officers — a Gold Stick and a Silver Stick — were placed close to the monarch to protect them from harm.

Upon returning to Buckingham Palace following the coronation, Charles and Camilla received a royal salute from the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Armed Forces who participated in the parade.

Charles and Camilla watched as "God Save the King" played.

George continued his duties, carrying his grandfather's robe during the moment.

The new monarch wore two crowns on his coronation day. After the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, King Charles swapped St. Edward's Crown – which is traditionally used only during the crowning itself – for the Imperial State Crown (pictured here).

Queen Camilla also greeted crowds from Buckingham Palace.

Prince George and his fellow official pages stood between his parents and siblings and the new monarchs, King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh stood beside Kate, William, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis during the post-coronation celebration.

Dressed in the official garb, Prince George and two of the other pages took in the sights from the royal balcony.

Members of the royal family shared the balcony to celebrate the historic occasion, and Prince Louis looked the most excited of them all!

Charlotte and Louis gave their best royal waves while greeting crowds with Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and their parents.

Louis showed his big sister something in the distance, possibly an eye-catching moment during the aircraft flypast from the Royal Navy, Army Corps and Royal Air Force.

Prince Louis spotted plenty of noteworthy activity as he peered over the crowds gathered around Buckingham Palace.
