Ryan Reynolds isn’t just a Swiftie: he’s also a BLINK!

While kicking off the press tour for Deadpool & Wolverine alongside pal Hugh Jackman in Seoul, South Korea, the Marvel actor showed his love for K-pop group Blackpink while answering fan questions.

During the appearance, Reynolds, Jackman and director Shawn Levy were presented with traditional Korean hanboks, which the moderator noted were designed by the same person who did Blackpink’s Coachella costumes.

The information prompted Reynolds to exclaim, “Love Blackpink," before adding that he was also a big fan of the South Korean boy band Stray Kids.

In fact, Reynolds’ love for Stray Kids goes back to 2021, when the actor praised their Deadpool-inspired number on the Korean show, Kingdom: Legendary War.

For the performance, one of the band’s members Felix dressed up as Reynolds' famous character, red mask in all, and greeted the audience in a similar fashion to the film’s opening scene.

The number quickly got the attention of Reynolds, who showed his support on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Oh hello @stray_kids.”

The viral performance led to an adorable exchange on social media between Reynolds and Stray Kids singer Bang Chan, who revealed himself as a superfan of the actor. At one point, Reynolds called Bang his “new favorite Australian,” jokingly shading his pal Jackman

Later that year, the two teamed up for a virtual interview in support of Reynolds’ film Free Guy, where the K-pop singer asked him a handful of questions.

“I’m such a huge fan,” Reynolds told Chan in the clip. “Not only do I love what you guys do, but I love how you do it because you do it with joy and you do it with authenticity,” he continued, noting, “I’m super proud that I get to kind of know you now.”

Reynolds’ recent appearance in South Korea marked the beginning of his press tour for Deadpool & Wolverine, which stars him and his longtime friend Jackman.

During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the two reflected on their 17-year friendship, noting that the “secret sauce” to their bond is “genuinely rooting” for one another “all the time.”

“I want you to win. It’s the same way I feel about Blake,” Reynolds said, mentioning his wife Blake Lively. “As I'm rooting for her, I know she's rooting for me, and it's why we're so connected.”
