Taylor Fritz is taking the tennis world by storm with his girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, by his side.

As of January 2024, the tennis star is the No. 12-ranked male player in the world. He also defeated 22-time Grand Slam singles winner Rafael Nadal at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters, earning him his first Masters title.

His fame expanded beyond just the world of competitive tennis when he starred in Netflix's Break Point, which followed him and other professional tennis players as they competed in four Grand Slam tournaments.

Supporting him as he makes these major career moves is Riddle — an influencer who regularly documents her experiences traveling the world for Fritz's tournaments. She has more than half a million followers on TikTok and a large following on Instagram as well. She aims to "make tennis cool again," or more appealing to the younger generations.

Riddle is Fritz's number one fan and regularly supports him at his tournaments, including Wimbledon in June 2024, where she made headlines after seemingly calling out his opponent Alexander Zverev in a series of Instagram Stories lauding Fritz for being "for the girls."

However, Riddle denied that her posts had anything to do with Zverev and promptly deleted them, writing that "they were not about anything that’s happened off the tennis court & there’s no bad blood between anyone."

So, who is Taylor Fritz's girlfriend? Here's everything to know about Morgan Riddle and her relationship with the tennis champion.

Riddle has garnered tons of followers on both TikTok and Instagram for her fashion, beauty and travel content. She is most known, however, for giving an inside look at the world of competitive tennis and making the sport more appealing to a younger generation.

One of her most viral TikToks explains her mission to make "tennis cool again." She starts the video by saying, "I know tennis is relatively uncool and unknown in America," before giving a breakdown of the sport, including what the annual tennis schedule is, how the rankings work and what it's like for her to attend tennis tournaments around the world.

The video received over 700 thousand likes as well as some backlash, but Fritz was quick to defend his girlfriend.

"I think what she did was awesome for our sport. It got a ton of people looking at it. I think you get your typical older fan who may be upset about it. I don't understand how anyone can get upset about it. I'm the one that's a professional tennis player, I'm the one that does this for a living. I 100 percent agree with everything in that video," Fritz explained during a press conference at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters tournament.

In September 2022, Riddle helped make the sport look cool again when she shared photos on Instagram from the Laver Cup in London, where Fritz's team, Team World, took the win. Her carousel post included an epic shot of the stadium lit up with the words, "World Wins the Laver Cup," a snap of her and Fritz posing with the Laver Cup trophy and a photo of champagne bottles and glasses surrounding the trophy. In her caption, Riddle wrote, "does it smell like underdog in here??? 🥵🏆."

Riddle and Fritz traveled to Italy for the Nitto ATP Finals in November 2022. The couple were invited to the official tournament gala dinner, which they attended in Giorgio Armani suits.

In July 2023, Riddle spoke with PEOPLE about her and Fritz's goal to make the sport more appealing to a younger generation.

"I think that he appreciates that we both have this collective goal of bringing it to a younger crowd. He does his part of it and I do mine," she said. "I remember when him and I first met within the first week or two, one of the things that he told me is I just want tennis to be cooler in our generation. It's just not."

She and Fritz met on a dating app

Riddle and Fritz first met on Raya, a members-only dating app. Riddle told PEOPLE she had just moved to Los Angeles in "peak Covid" and "didn't know anybody," so she went on the app to find some people to hang out with — and met Fritz.

"Because it was during Covid, no restaurants were open, no bars were open so we ordered sushi," she said. "We went to his place and I made him watch Midsommar with me, the really messed up horror movie. Why I chose that as my first introduction to a guy, I don't really know. I think I traumatized him a little bit."

Fritz and Riddle celebrated their three-year anniversary in June 2023, she told PEOPLE. Although the two are constantly traveling together, it is still hard to celebrate as both are busy with their careers, she said.

"That's one negative side is we can't really celebrate things like that or holidays or anything," Riddle said. "Usually we're on airplanes for Christmas. I think he had a match that day. We might have done dinner."

Netflix released a series about the world of competitive tennis, which both Fritz and Riddle appeared in. The series, Break Point, was made by the same team behind the hit show Formula 1: Drive to Survive. In 2022, Riddle confirmed that a Netflix crew had been filming her and Fritz for the show on TikTok and gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the filming process. She also spoke about the experience briefly on the Hold On to Your Racket podcast.

"It's impossible to know if the show will have the same success as Formula 1 did, but I hope it does … that would just be unreal for the sport," she said. "I think everyone was iffy about it at first, but now the whole tour has warmed up to it."

She continued, "The [Netflix] crew is always around all the time and it's been exciting to have them around. I hope that it reaches the level of popularity that the other show did. It would do really big things for the sport."

She's from Minnesota

Riddle now travels the world with Fritz for his tournaments, but before she adopted her globetrotting lifestyle, she spent her childhood in Minnesota and her young adult years in New York City. Riddle opened up about her Midwest roots on the Hold On to Your Racket podcast.

"I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, I'm from the Midwest originally," she told hosts Josefina Gurevich and Shravya Pant. "My dream was always to go to New York."

Riddle also explained that tennis was not a big aspect of her life growing up in Minnesota. "I grew up with hockey, my whole family is a hockey family … not a soul from Minnesota plays tennis," she joked, adding that she wasn't really into sports. "I personally was more into theater and speech and debate, not athletic at all," she explained.

She told PEOPLE that growing up she was from a lower middle-class background, and the life she lives now was always a dream for her.

"I was one of those girls that was obsessed with the Bali travel videos and stuff," she said. "But I grew up from a much more low middle-class background in Minnesota that just wasn't accessible to me ever. I never really believed that I would be able to see the world in that way."

She attended Wagner College

According to her LinkedIn profile, Riddle graduated from Wagner College in N.Y.C. in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in English language and literature. During her time in college, Riddle was the president of the student alumni association and the public relations chair for the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She also completed eight internships, as she told the Hold On to Your Racket podcast, gaining experience in various different industries, including marketing, public relations, event planning and media.

She has experience in the media and influencer space

After graduating college, Riddle was offered a job as a real estate agent for the brokerage Compass, whom she interned for in 2018. She worked in real estate for nine months before transitioning into the media and influencer marketing space, where she held positions at companies like Food Network, Love Your Melon, Hollywire and MuteSix. Eventually, she made social media and influencing her full-time job.

In addition to working as an influencer, real estate agent and more, Riddle has also worked as a professional model with Wehmann Models and Talent.

In 2023, Riddle partnered with a small jewelry business, Lottie NYC, to make a tennis necklace and bracelet in an effort to “create products for my demographic as a tennis fan, I just don't think there are a ton of brands that really appeal to us as a group yet," she said.

She also partnered with prestigious tennis tournament Wimbledon in July 2023 for a video series called Wimbledon Threads, where Riddle asked people attending the matches about their outfit inspiration. She said the opportunity was "huge" for her to be "taken more seriously."

“To be recognized by a tournament of that prestige is just a big win for me and people taking me a little bit more seriously in the tennis world, to be honest, because that's something that I've struggled with,” she said. “I guess the older, maybe more misogynist side of the tennis fan base is my biggest group of people that I've been working to win over a little bit.”

She and Fritz like to travel together

As a couple that travel 30 weeks out of the year – and balance being a full time content creator and a professional athlete — Fritz and Riddle have found a way to spend quality time together while maintaining personal space.

Riddle shared with PEOPLE that while Fritz likes to sleep in, Riddle takes advantage of the morning to rise early and go on her "hot girl walk" while filming vlogs.

She shared that the pair have a strong partnership, based on teamwork and being understanding of what the other "needs to do," whether that be filming or practicing.

"We travel so well together, which people always ask me, 'How do you guys spend that much time in a hotel room together without wanting to rip each other's heads off?' she told PEOPLE. "But we get along really well, which is why I think we've been able to make it work the last couple years."

She added, "Both of us are very focused on what we're doing. I'm not always like, 'When are you coming back to the room?' I'm out doing things or meeting people which I think is good that we're very much immersed in each other, but also have our own things going on no matter where we are."

She was featured in The New York Times

In August 2023, The New York Times published an article about Riddle titled "The Most Famous Woman in Men's Tennis." She spoke about the realities of being a tennis "WAG," a British term meaning "wives and girlfriends" that was originally coined for soccer players' partners.

“If his ranking had gone down, they’d say it’s my fault," she told the outlet. "The only time I really get nervous is when I see him getting nervous."

She lost a bet and had to eat Vegemite

Ahead of his match against Stefanos Tsitsipas at the 2024 Australian Open, Fritz made a bet with Riddle. If he won, she'd have to eat an entire jar of Vegemite.

Riddle followed through on the bet, but only managed to eat a spoonful of the Australian food spread before gagging.

"That was disgusting," she said to her followers on Instagram Live. "Nope, nope."
