Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe (née Norma Jeane Mortenson) was an American actress and model. She rose to fame as a pin-up model in the 1940s before pivoting to acting. Monroe was known for playing blonde bombshell characters in iconic movies like Monkey Business (1952), Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953), Niagara (1953) and The Seven Year Itch (1955). In 1960, she won a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her role in 1959's Some Like It Hot. Monroe died from a drug overdose in 1962 at the age of 36.
