Tom Hanks and Robin Wright Reunite with Forrest Gump Director for Life-Spanning Drama Here: Trailer

Tom Hanks and Robin Wright are sharing the screen again, 30 years after Forrest Gump.

On June 26, the first trailer for Here debuted, showcasing the costars' latest project together, which also reunites them with Gump director Robert Zemeckis.

Zemeckis has also previously worked with Hanks on films like Cast Away, The Polar Express and Pinocchio, and Wright collaborated with the filmmaker again on Beowulf.

Here, based on the graphic novel by Richard McGuire, is about "multiple families and a special place they inhabit," according to a synopsis.

"The story travels through generations, capturing the human experience in its purest form," adds the description, which calls the movie a "tale of love, loss, laughter and life, all of which happen right Here."

The Here cast also includes Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly and Michelle Dockery. According to Vanity Fair, the film is told entirely from one perspective and the camera frame never moves.

Zemeckis told the outlet, “The single perspective never changes, but everything around it does. It’s actually never been done before. There are similar scenes in very early silent movies, before the language of montage was invented. But other than that, yeah, it was a risky venture."

Hanks, 67, and Wright, 58, play their characters at various different stages in life.

Zemeckis says of their transformations, “It only works because the performances are so good. Both Tom and Robin understood instantly that, okay, we have to go back and channel what we were like 50 years ago or 40 years ago, and we have to bring that energy, that kind of posture, and even raise our voices higher. That kind of thing.”

Here is in theaters Nov. 15.
