'True Detective' Fans Need to See This Season Get the 'Starsky & Hutch' Treatment

Have you been watching the current season of True Detective and thinking “Hey, this would be better with more car chases?”

Well, at least several other people thought so too, and now a mash-up of the show with another famous Los Angeles-based cop series, Starsky & Hutch, delivers exactly that, with the latter’s classic theme song to boot.

With the relentless gloom of this season of True Detective, you might almost wish that its characters could escape to the sunnier L.A. of Starsky & Hutch, just for an episode or so. And if anyone wanted to mash up scenes of Taylor Kitsch’s CHP officer with the theme to CHiPs, we wouldn’t stop you.

Major bonus points for the spot-on fonts and the "We’re the one" bumper, which really did run on ABC back in the day.
