Who Is Maddie Ziegler’s Boyfriend? All About Music Producer Kid Culture

Former Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler has recently made her relationship public with music producer Daniel Hackett — better known as Kid Culture. 

The pair first sparked romance rumors in early June 2024 after Ziegler posted a few snaps from the producer’s birthday celebration on Instagram, including a video of the two looking affectionate in a photo booth, per E! Online.

The news of Ziegler's new relationship comes around four months after her split from musician Eddie Benjamin was made public in February 2024. 

Ziegler, who has been in the public eye for years and most recently starred in Molly McGlynn's film Fitting In, is now stepping into a new chapter with her music producer beau. Kid Culture is a Grammy-nominated producer

At 23, Kid Culture has already gained recognition in the music industry as a songwriter and producer. One of his first major career moments came when he co-wrote and produced Justin Bieber's Grammy-nominated song "Yummy," which he created the beat for in just 20 minutes, per CNN.

His 2021 nomination for "Yummy" wasn’t the first time the young star was up for a Grammy, however.

In 2020, Kid Culture received his first Grammy nod for his work with YBN Cordae, whose song "Bad Idea" was nominated for best rap song. The producer described the moment as “a dream come true" to CNN.

He has worked with music industry legends

Aside from his work with Bieber, Kid Culture has an impressive portfolio, having collaborated with top artists like Cardi B, Usher and Ed Sheeran.

Though he's younger than many of his peers, he sees his age as an advantage.

“I’m really confident in my work,” he said in a 2020 CNN interview. “I really believe and know that my stuff is great. If you don’t believe it’s great, it won’t be.”

He’s also a musician

Aside from his success as a producer, Kid Culture also makes his own music. In early 2023, he released his first song, “KEEP IT,” and has since released three ensuing tracks: “PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY,” “GOODSEX” and “HOW I FEEL.” 

“All my songs have feelings,” Kid Culture told CNN. “I make moments.”

Kid Culture grew up around music

Kid Culture’s passion for music started at a very young age, influenced by his father’s involvement in the music scene. 

“I’ve always been around music since a young age because my dad is an amazing producer and songwriter,” he told CNN. “I remember I started playing drums at like two years old in church, that’s when I first picked up some drumsticks. I just remember that feeling of like, ‘Wow, this feels amazing. I need to keep doing this.’ ”

At age 5, he was already making music, and the family relocated from Seattle to Los Angeles to foster Kid Culture’s dreams in the music industry. 

He and Ziegler share a Gemini connection

Kid Culture and Ziegler share a unique bond through astrology. Kid Culture’s birthday is on June 4, which is the same day as Ziegler’s younger sister, Kenzie.

Ziegler marked the occasion on Instagram for both her sister and boyfriend. In honor of Kenzie's 20th birthday, she posted an adorable throwback of the pair, calling her younger sister the "sweetest gift" in the caption. Her tribute to Kid Culture was a little more low-key: Ziegler posted a series of snaps from his birthday celebration on her Instagram Stories, including a strip of shots from a photo booth where the two could be seen kissing.

While the exact start date of Ziegler and Kid Culture's relationship is unclear, the two went public with their relationship in June 2024, via Ziegler's Instagram Stories post.

Prior to her new romance, Ziegler was in a relationship with Eddie Benjamin for more than three years. A source confirmed to PEOPLE in February that the pair had amicably split.
