Made the shift from Spotify and I'm very happy with the choice in music. The video feature is great for discovering new music videos too. Some improvements could include cross fade when listening to audio, sorting playlists into folders and swiping on a song to play it next. The adding to queue feature is kind of pointless when playing from a large playlist.

I despise this app. I only use it for podcasts and it has nowhere near the functionality of Google Podcasts. When using Google Nest I used to be able to say, for example, "play a true crime podcast" but that function isn't available on YT Music. Often when I ask it to play a one of my regular podcasts it with tell me that I need to turn off restricted mode which is already off. The only advantage over Spotify is that podcasts will continue to play on Google Nest with the screen off.

It's insane that years later, the same issues are still here. shuffle doesn't work, playlists can't play more than 100 songs, you can't sort the songs in a playlist alphabetically, it's still missing basic features that other services have had for years. YouTube music is made by one of the biggest companies on earth and they can't even provide a decent competitor to Spotify. literally the only reason I use this trash is because it's included with YouTube premium. you're better off with Spotify.
