This app could be quicker and more stable. It ought to default to connecting Bluetooth to the current driver's phone, but it has to be told every time. It takes ages to bring up the navigation screen. If the USB connection is interrupted the navigation screen breaks and the only way to get it back is to pull over and stop the car completely. (No, you can't do it at a stoplight, you have to put it in Park. Honda cares about your safety so much it will gladly drive you insane.)

Normally, it's perfect, but every so often, the audio will start skipping like a CD with a scratch on it until AA shuts off completely. It can't be the connection because my phone can still connect via Bluetooth, so I'm not sure why it randomly cuts out. I've had to "uninstall" and update the app each time this happens to get it running again, which also means reestablishing a connection with a cord.

I think the app is dangerous in a bad way. "Most" of the time it works and is amazing, but then randomly it will fail to connect and the temptation to fuss with it while driving is nearly overwhelming. I decided I just have to disable and try it again in a year or something. Reading of similar people having issues, I think it may be particularly bad with Pixel phones. Which... is Google. Maybe it's my be ID.4? But I can't complain to VW, so here we are.
