Missing some very basic functionality: (1) Swiping left/right doesn't move between sections (e.g. Home <> Canada <> World). (2) Tapping the News button when you are already in the News section doesn't bring you to the Home. Given that the menu bar is across the top, these two are essential for easy navigation. (3) Tapping a push notification often brings you to Home instead of the the relevant article

The app is absolute hot garbage. How difficult is it in 2024 to make a newspaper app which remembers where you left off and has a good search function? If you are middle of an article and screen turns off or you switch to different app, you lose your spot and must scroll again to find it. Same with the search function - cannot arrange articles based on age or any other filtering options. This is pathetic.

Rating increased to reflect resolution of this issue finally. Facing issues with the app for the last 3-4 months. Reached out to the technical support for resolution and their response is "we acknowledge the issue, but we have no app updates scheduled in the next few months to resolve the issue." I followed up a month later and still the same response. Really disappointed, especially for a paid app.
