Rarely works anymore. Some days it does and others it doesn't. Pressing the microphone always gets results. Saying "Hey Google" randomly works or doesn't work. WORTHLESS! UPDATE: Wiped phone back to factory settings. After trying all suggestions posted on youtube, the web and this site, I finally bit the bullet and did the factory reset. Reinstalled my backup and updated all apps - Assistant is working again.

Edit:"hey Google" now does searches instead of executing commands. I'll say "hey Google what's 500 divided by 47?" And I'll get back "here's what i found.." - with links to how to solve math problems. Same thing with playing music or doing a whole bunch of things that worked up until recently. Also the search results themselves are getting less helpful, less accurate, and more repetitive. How does something so awesome become so bad SO FAST!!! I just don't understand, unless it's intentional.

January update broke the functionality of "Hey Google" voice assistance on Motorola and Samsung flip phones. Doesn't work any more when phones are closed, which defeats the whole point. Rolling back to previous version provides temporary relief, until it automatically updates again which is becoming very annoying. Lenovo/Motorola can't provide any indication of when or how this might be fixed, says it's a Google problem. Which I do believe because it is plaguing Samsung flips as well.
