MEGA provides user-controlled encrypted cloud storage that’s accessed with web browsers and dedicated apps for mobile devices. Unlike other cloud storage providers, your data is encrypted and decrypted by your client devices only and never by us.
Upload files from your smartphone or tablet, then search, download, stream, view, share, rename or delete them from any device, anywhere. Share folders with your contacts and see their updates in real time.
MEGA’s strong and secure end-to-end encryption means we cannot access or reset your password. You MUST remember the password and make sure to back up your account Recovery Key. Losing your password and the account Recovery Key will result in lost access to your files.
Use the included MEGA Secure Chat for end-to-end-encrypted communications, including video and audio calls, with total privacy. Chat history synchronises automatically across multiple devices and you can also easily add files to, and from the MEGA Cloud drive.
MEGA offers a generous 20 GB free storage for all registered users. You can get even more storage in 5 GB increments through our MEGA achievements program.

Great app, but it can't play files such as .avi, which can be a bother. Loading times can be slow for videos and images alike, even with a great connection. Sometimes, the app is stuck loading or takes upwards of 10 minutes to load open (although that's likely due to maintenance of some kind, since the website will also suffer from the same issues of loading during these times). This app is still my go-to with file saving and management, highly recommended.

07/24/2024: I started w/Mega long B4 there was an app. Have saved my whole life going back to like 1992, which is great bc each time Photobucket had a crash, I've lost more & more digital data. But for Mega, I would have lost all my audio & video files because Photof*ckit lost them all. God Bless Mega! 06/24/2024: i've been with Mega like a decade. cant think where else I'd be!

Ive been using this app for a few years now, and I've loved it. But lately, when uploading images to a new folder and coming back to said folder later, the images are not there despite the folder saying there are 30 images. Sharing the folder does not affect it. The images are still there. Just not when looking at them myself.
