About this movie

Writer director Taika Waititi, brings his signature style of humor and pathos to his latest film, JOJO RABBIT, a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother is hiding a young girl in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler, Jojo must confront his naive patriotism.

So it isn't all that funny... But whenever it tries to be emotionally engaging, it ruins it with an unfunny joke... It should have been either more serious, or more funny. I honestly don't understand how anybody thought it was a good movie. I'm not offended by it; I've seen so many nazi jokes, Hitler raps, etc... Problem is the movie expects the viewer has never seen a conedic take on Nazis before, so it assumes you'll laugh at anything about Nazis being silly... I wish it was funnier.

my intentions in writing this review are two: To shine a light upon an above negative review which, let's face it, was written by an illiterate who can't form a proper sentence and, as an extension of that, probably has difficulty forming a proper opinion as well. Additionally, anyone who tries to downplay the extermination of human-beings in death-camps, (death-camps which my father, Chief Warrant Officer Claude J. Myers, saw with his own eyes.) whether it's a million persons or one, is a pig.

This movie really took into the account of the ignorance the Nazis had and their unbelieveable amount of stupidity. Their superiors told them that Jews are inferior to them, and they believed it. Without question, they ran into battle, dying to the last man for a lost cause. Near the end, the insanity of Hitler is actually portraying him accurately. He went downhill and started having mental breakdowns while commanding troops around. The civilians and kids ran out into the war and died.
