Binged and need more!
I just discovered this podcast- I listened to it all in two days. I think Megan did a great job being fair and balanced to both sides of the issues. I’ve recommended the podcast to a bunch of my friends. I also found her points of views especially interesting as I am also an escapee from a baptist cult. Looking forward to more content from Megan.
Fascinating and Instructive
I thought I was informed about issues of gender but I did not realize the magnitude of the assumptions, vituperation and silencing that have gone on since Rowling made her initial statement several years ago. I appreciate the way this podcast was produced to include Rowlings own voice and to articulate the impact of the protests and reactions on all sides. Extremely well done. Thank you!
Thoughtful and Layered Journalism
This podcast series really opened my eyes to the depth of this issue. This was a multi-layered and very fair podcast series. I found myself nodding along to everything JK Rowling had to say. I was also very surprised to see how different her tweets were from what I had heard. Life lessons learned: Don’t just listen to the popular narrative in either direction; Do your own research and be truly open to listening objectively to those outside of your echo chamber. This series by The Free Press has become the Gold Standard to me of what thoughtful journalism should & could be.
