By Production for the second season of Netflix’s hit series The Sandman is still ongoing with about 3/4 of the season done, and we already had the chance to uncover many interesting updates. The latest was the casting of Loki, who will be played by House of the Dragon actor Freddie Fox. Today we also have a deity: Hades, also played by someone who appeared in House of the Dragon.
Garry Cooper Cast as Hades in The Sandman Season 2
We have learned that Garry Cooper has been cast as Hades in The Sandman Season 2. The appearance of Hades isn’t a surprise as it has been known for a while that the second season will adapt a certain storyline involving Lucifer, Hell and various deities vying to become the new ruler of Hell.
Cooper is a veteran actor who has an extensive career. He will likely be known to fantasy fans as Lord Ryam Redwyne from the first season of House of the Dragon. His recent projects also include Gangs of London, Better and more.
But that’s not all! We’ve also learned that actor Jonny Labey has joined the cast of The Sandman Season 2. Unlike Cooper, his role is currently unknown. Labey’s credits include EastEnders, Doctors, Romeo & Juliet and more.
