Never played the game. But the show is gruesomely funny. Interesting and weird. Twisted metal meets westworld
So good. This one’s going to be a big hater. Only haters you’ll probably see come out the woodwork are people who played the video game and complain about different story lines or something. The show itself — very good.
Not what you hoped, but it's fine.Pros: Traditional Fallout aesthetics and music, (sadly limited) appearance of Michael Emmerson, and painfully underrated actor Walton Goggins who is the one reason for watching.Cons: Doesn't adhere to a lot of the lore, logical gaps, some unnecessary modern garbage creeps. Power Armor is now Iron Man's suit, capable of flying at Mach-3 with tiny thrusters, despite weighing ~800lbs.For the 'hurr durr, who cares if it doesn't adhere to the lore?" crowd: The problem is Todd/Bethesda stated the show SETS the lore FOR THE GAME.As for people who feared the show would be riddled with woke stuff? Nah. It's about a 5/10 on that scale.Overall, approach it as NOT-Fallout and it's entertaining enough. As long as Walton Goggins' character remains a part of the show, I'm sure it'll continue to at least be *watchable*.
